‘Campaign group Republic has called on MPs to launch a full-scale investigation into the royal expenses scandal. The call follows reports that Prince Andrew is demanding more money from the taxpayer, to fund his daughters’ lifestyles.
A demand by the Duke of York for his daughters to be funded by the taxpayer has been rejected by the Queen. Eugenie currently works for a London art gallery while Beatrice has been jobless since July. In his letter to the Queen, Andrew, 56, also demanded they get new pads at Kensington Palace, instead of their “small” shared flat at St James’s Palace. Prince Andrew is ranked number one as the highest paid princes for the year 2013 with an estimated net worth of $82 million but believes the tax payers of Britain owe his daughters a living which should include them living in luxury.’
