Lib Dem MEP vows to pursue fight against Brexit as 17.4 million Leave voters were ‘Fooled’

‘A Liberal Democrat MEP insisted Brexit could still be reversed as she vowed to continue to fight against Britain’s historic vote.
Catherine Bearder told the European Parliament those who opted for the UK’s divorce in June’s referendum had been “fooled” by the “false promises from nationalists”.
The attack on Britain’s democratic vote was made during a fiery Brexit debate in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
The South East England politician repeated lines from her party’s leader, Tim Farron, as she told MEPs a second referendum must be secured on any eventual Brexit deal.’
