The Morality of Tax Reform
As the debate on tax reform takes center stage, now is a good time to watch the CATO Capitol Hill forum on the issue from a few months ago. Campaign for Liberty President Norm Singleton not only attended the forum, but asked the first question, and brought up issues of the morality of taxation, the need to lower, not just “reform” taxes, and the problem with the fetish of “revenue neutrality.”
Campaign for Liberty opposes any and all attempts to sneak tax increases—such as the carried interest tax or the advertising tax—into tax reform under the guise of “revenue neutrality.”
Watch the CATO event here. Singleton’s question is at around 41:58.
Norm Singleton will be speaking at CATO on Monday.
