Class #4—The Music of Creativity

Broadcast LIVE at 2pm EDT on March 17. This class will be taught by John Sigerson, music director of the Schiller Institute, and will focus on those aspects of human social relations which make it possible for the human species to equip itself intellectually and emotionally to make the universe, and ourselves, increasingly happy, in Leibniz’s concept of happiness. We’re talking here about the domain of Classical aesthetics, i.e., the science of Beauty and the Good: music, poetry, drama, along with the plastic arts such as painting, sculpture, and architecture.
