Great Power Leaders Gather at Osaka G20 — Historic Moment to Stop War, Turn to New Paradigm of Mutual Advantage

National leaders are already en route or have arrived in Osaka, Japan for the Group of 20 Summit, June 28-29, where, on the sidelines, many meetings are set between heads of state of major powers. Among the many bi-and multilateral meetings, are the highly significant one-on-one talks set between President Trump and the three leaders—Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, among others. These constitute the historic opportunity to override the intense dirty operations—Russia-Gate, Trump-Gate—thrown against the U.S. Presidency and people, and demonizing China and Russia, by the networks of the expiring British empire and financial circles, whose geopolitical ploys to pit the U.S. against Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, and many more, are threatening all out war.

Today, at the same time Trump was departing for Japan, LaRouchePAC activists were on Capitol Hill, to distribute key information to all 535 Congressional offices, notably, the announcement of the two new videos—the LaRouche Memorial and “Feature Documentary—The LaRouche Case: Robert Mueller’s First Hit Job;” and the June 24 statement, “Stop World War III; Exonerate LaRouche.” The record of Lyndon LaRouche shows clearly his incomparable programs and interventions, whose principles are sorely needed at this time, and whose exoneration will free the spirit and courage to make his vision reality.

LaRouchePAC also circulated to Congress a new national release (June 25,) “When Future Historians Review This Week, Will They See a Turning Point, Or A Descent on the Road to Hell?” This statement points out, “As the President goes to Osaka, where the heads of the United States, Russia, China, and India need to be free to discuss a four powers arrangement for peace, development, and a new financial architecture, the specter of ultimate war is being used to terrorize the world, and to change the subject. This must not be allowed.”

The danger of war will be the focus of LaRouchePAC’s Friday Webcast June 28, with host Matthew Ogden and guest Paul Gallagher, who will report on the threat of a repeat of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. Also under discussion by the LPAC Executive are ways to most effectively organize with this new “Turning Point” statement.

The particular war danger exposed in the LaRouchePAC statement is that recent laws have authorized a U.S. Cyber Command, empowered to carry out attacks on other nations, without the President’s approval or even knowledge! The takes away the opportunity for a President to exercise judgment to prevent unwarranted attacks, counterattacks, and all out war, as shown in what Trump fortunately did last week to intervene to stop a military strike on Iran. The kind of corruption of institutions and lawlessness that would set up such a stealth Cyber Command came about during the recent years of the insane Russia-Gate period, orchestrated by British intelligence and its American partners in crime.

Then yesterday, from the same networks—the warhawks of either neocon or neolib stripe—comes a new threat to sabotage the G20 ‘Four Power’ potential. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg issued an ultimatum to Russia, that it has five weeks to dismantle its “SSC-8” missile system, ‘or else.’ This threat is on the agenda today of NATO Defense Ministers meeting in Brussels. That is, by Aug. 3, Russia must destroy a certain class of missiles Stoltenberg charges are against the 1987 INF Treaty.

Today came the Russian reply. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that if NATO’s “threats begin to materialize into real action, we will have to take countervailing military measures.”

Thus, NATO set into play a new anti-Russia brinksmanship on the eve of the critical G20 Summit. Despite all this, Trump notably expressed today, his pleasure at the thought of conferring with his “friends” this coming weekend. He said of China, “I want to have a good relationship with China. Xi is a close personal friend—he’s fantastic.”
