Optimism—What Dems and Anti-Trumpers Fear the Most
It has become evident that the coup plotters running the impeachment trial against President Trump are taking their strategy from Joseph Goebbels—”If you repeat a lie often enough, people believe it”—as Rep. Schiff and others droned on about “abuse of power” and “cover-up” late into last night in the trial in the Senate. Meanwhile, in Davos, Trump he provoked waves of hysteria, by invoking the cultural optimism of the cathedral movement, exemplified in the persistent creativity required to build the Dome in Florence, to seek solutions to problems today. The sour-faced billionaires and bankers opposing him, instead are giving full support to the austerity regime demanded, allegedly to stop “man-made climate change.”
And there are new revelations about the network which may have pushed for the assassination of Iranian General Soleimani, as the name of long-time war-hawk David Wurmser has surfaced.
