Expressions of Moral Courage To Enforce a New Paradigm and End London Monetarism and Geopolitics

The COVID-19 pandemic is proceeding on course around the globe, with both a terrible death toll in the hotspots, while early arrival in others. Standing out amid the hardship and horrors, are singular expressions of humanity, that signify not only decency, but a reflex of moral courage. It is the impetus to accomplish what otherwise seems impossible: To change the system that created the conditions for this scourge in the first place, and open up a glorious new era for mankind.

Our role is to provide the scientific principles of physical economy, for which all history is beholden to statesman Lyndon LaRouche (1922-2019). There is no virus or economic breakdown “issue” that cannot be solved in the process of making this needed shift, whether it be “ventilators,” or “masks,” or “staff” or “food and farming,” or anything else. We can deal with it. We are human.

After all, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, Schiller Institute president, stressed in her weekly webcast Wednesday, “Systems are manmade.” We have a bad one. We can change it. Taking decisive action now is what honors the casualties we have otherwise been forced to suffer.

Yesterday, at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, as the Antonov An-124 Russian military cargo plane, carrying tons of aid to fight the COVID-19 battle, circled in for a landing, the air traffic controller told the pilot, “We sincerely thank you for all of the assistance you’re bringing in.” The pilot replied, “You’re welcome and thanks.”

Appreciating this human impulse, we can imagine the potentially momentous results if the Great Power leaders get together to collaborate on making the otherwise “impossible” happen in the world, and to take up measures to create a new economic system. President Donald Trump repeatedly expresses his disposition for this, despite the pressures against him. Zepp-LaRouche has called for a summit at the earliest moment among Trump, President Xi Jinping, President Vladimir Putin, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and others as they choose.

There is no alternative to a new system. Without it, there is doom through chaos, disease and/or war. Deliberation and proposals must be underway now. Today, for example, U.S. labor statistics were released showing that 6.6 million Americans signed up for unemployment relief in just one week, after 3.3 million the week before.

The response from the City of London/Wall Street crowd is a bail-out tsunami and more geopolitical propaganda and confrontationism. The U.S. Federal Reserve and Treasury Department are pumping so much liquidity into the dead system, that the Fed now ranks as the biggest “bad bank” in history, with over $5 trillion of (mostly junk) in assets.

On the geopolitical front, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien are pumping the line that it was the Chinese Communist Party (and Russian) cover-up and “disinformation” about the origin and spread of the novel coronavirus that caused the world pandemic. Such a lie is in total opposition to their boss, President Trump, who insists China and President Xi Jinping are our close friends, and that he welcomes their help for the U.S. and for dozens of countries around the world. Meantime, Pompeo, O’Brien and their networks are reported to be pushing for new U.S. attacks in Iraq, in the name of fighting Iran. They are long overdue for sudden retirement.

As Zepp-LaRouche stressed yesterday, “What we need is a completely new system. All the rules of the liberal economy, of the neo-liberal model, the cheap labor markets, the outsourcing, all of that has to be replaced; and it has to start with the immediate building of a world health system where a decent health system is being built up in every single country. That must be the beginning of an industrial revolution for the whole world. Nothing short of that will do. That means we need a New Bretton Woods system, and a new credit system to finance that.”
