Miss Swimsuit UK stripped of title after ‘all lives matter’ Facebook post
The winner of the Miss Swimsuit UK competition has been stripped of her title after posting a rant online in which she used the phrase ‘all lives matter’ and questioned the innocence of black American man George Floyd, who was killed during a police arrest.
Jasmine Archer-Jones, 23, shared her views in a public message on June 1, while there were daily protests across the world in response to the Minnesota man’s death. Now deleted, her post criticising the Black Lives Matter movement read: ‘This is ridiculous now. It HAS to STOP. ALL lives matter, if you look deeply into statistics, more UNARMED WHITE people DIED than BLACK last year.’
Archer-Jones, who relocated to Texas from Chester after winning the competition in 2019, added: ‘Yes some people may say George Floyd died when he was innocent but I am yet to see hard evidence of this.
