Queen Letizia of Spain pairs red cocktail dress with face mask now ‘one of the season’s best accessories’ (If you’re an idiot)
We often look to the royals for fashion inspiration, whether it’s Kate Middleton’s floaty summer style, Princess Sofia of Sweden’s high street glamour or Meghan Markle’s effortlessly cool take on royal fashion.
So it’s particularly nice to see one of the most glamorous royals in the world pairing a glitzy outfit with one of the season’s best accessories: a face mask.
Queen Letizia of Spain, renowned for her feminine and sophisticated style, stepped out in the mask while attending a gala dinner for the ABC International Journalism Awards in Madrid, looking especially regal in a scarlet cocktail dress.
With husband King Felipe VI at her side, Letizia looked radiant, her dress featuring a bustier-style bodice, midi length and structural ruffle on the bust. The deep red shade made her complexion look even more radiant, while the sleeveless design made the most of her toned arms.
The Roberto Terretta dress is one of the Queen’s favourite’s, and became one of her wardrobe staples last year, such as when the couple celebrated the 30th anniversary of the newspaper El Mundo in October.
She’s not just a fan of recycling dresses, but of whole outfits: Letizia paired her dress with the same pair of strappy Manolo Blahnik shoes and black woven Bottega Veneta clutch that she wore at a reception in March 2019.
