A new fake news scandal saying that Russia offered bounties on American troops in Afghanistan and Trump did nothing is being pumped relentlessly. This is designed to prevent Trump’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, and prevent any cooperation with Russia and China in fighting COVID and rebuilding the world. And, COVID is spiking as the rebellious young unwittingly target the older generations for death in the name of freedom. Across the pond, Boris Johnson and his Brexit cabinet appear to have begun to map a road to sanity, a development which is both an unexpected surprise and something which if seized, by President Trump, could clear the road ahead and reverse the apparent momentum of treason in our land. Standing in front of a podium which said, simply, build, build, build, Johnson announced that the British would be adopting and pushing Franklin Roosevelt’s program for building the U.S. out of the Great Depression and mobilizing, in depth, the nation’s economic capacities on the highest scientific and technological platform. FDR, not Margaret Thatcher. Implicitly, if this is to work, Johnson and friends must kick over the entire strategic and financial chessboard put into place by Margaret Thatcher, Francois Mitterrand, and George H.W.
