Temperature checkers being installed as you arrive for work
Yesterday at my workplace (Toilet Roll / Disposable Tissue Factory) I was told to read and sign a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) about how to enter the factory since the installation of a camera which apparently can read your temperature as you come into it’s view.
There is a screen adjacent to the camera that will give a reading and if acceptable one is permitted to continue to work as normal. If the screen shows a temperature above 37.9C then the individual must wait 10 minutes to be tested with a more invasive thermometer and if the temperature remains above 37.9C then said employee (having signed to agree) MUST self isolate for 14 days and not return to work until they have successfully tested negative by an approved COVID 19 test. I have seen no evidence of any calibration or validation for this system and am worried about questioning my employers about it.
