PRESS RELEASE

WHO: LaRouchePAC Activists
WHEN: Friday, November 13TH 11:00AM – 1:00PM
WHERE: In front of New York Times Headquarters

In June of 1971, the New York Times had the courage to initiate the publishing of Daniel Ellsburg’s “Pentagon Papers.” This brave action against the will of a criminal executive branch, combined with the principled decision by then-Senator Mike Gravel (AK) to release 4,100 pages of the Pentagon Papers into the Senate Record, helped spark a fight that led to the end of the criminal presidency of Richard Nixon and was instrumental in bringing the Indochina War to an end. The Papers documented that the war was being lost, not won, and that McNamara’s “body count” metric was fraudulent and criminal.

The LaRouche Political Action Committee, founded by Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr., calls upon the New York Times to answer the question of the moment: “Is the New York Times more afraid of Barack Obama than it was of Richard Nixon?” Why does the New York Times refuse to provide full coverage of the “Drone Papers” released in Glen Greenwald’s media outlet, The Intercept

According to NYT Public Editor Margaret Sullivan’s column of October 26th, NYT executive editor Dean Baquet and national security editor William Hamilton determined that the “Drone Papers” does not “warrant its own story.” This despite Sullivan’s own admission that the “Drone Papers” expose a “kill chain” of mass-murders leading directly to Barack Obama. Ninety percent of people killed by Obama’s drones in a five month period were simply bystanders!

Why will the New York Times refuse to admit what cannot now be denied: Barack Obama, just like his step-father Lolo Soetero, is nothing but a stone-cold killer?

Will they fail to address this reality just when it’s most important to discuss, as that killer, Obama, leads the United States into unprecedented war provocations against Russia and China, which endanger all of mankind?

In public events held at Fordham University and NYU Law School in recent months, LaRouchePAC activists have challenged Scott Shane, the NYT’s “drone reporter,” to have the common decency to admit the truth: our President is a mass murderer who must be thrown out of office immediately!

Shane famously broke the “Kill List” story in May of 2012 detailing Obama’s weekly “Terror Tuesdays,” during which he uses “baseball cards” to decide who gets murdered next. But on each occasion, when confronted with the obvious moral and constitutional implications of his revelations and those of Glenn Greenwald’s “Intercept,” Shane has apologized for the Murderer-in-Chief, refusing to discuss impeachment of our president for what are justly named Satanic murders.

Since the New York Times appears to fear Obama and his drones so terribly, that they refuse to utter aloud the truth, lest they incur his wrath upon their own heads; since they would risk a thermonuclear war of extinction, in allowing this provocateur of Russia and China to continue his lunatic war policy; therefore LaRouchePAC organizers have decided to bring their own Obama clone, complete with his favorite drone, to the New York Times front door along with two banners: “Obama Leads the US into Hell!” and “Is the NYT More Afraid of Obama than they were of Nixon?”  Perhaps Obama’s face, contorted with psychotic rage, will frighten them into action in defense of the truth, once and for all!

Stay tuned, an on the ground report of this event is coming soon!

Another Wall Street debt bubble, that in commercial real estate debt and its derivatives, is showing signs of deteriorating.

San Francisco-based economics author Wolf Richter pointed today to a speech by Boston Federal Reserve President Eric Rosengren citing overheating in the U.S. commercial real estate sector. The $2.5 trillion commercial real estate debt in the United States has grown by 4% in 2015 so far; but much more significantly, the $300 billion in securitization of this debt (CMBS, or commercial mortgage-backed securities) has grown by 20% this year. In the New York commercial estate market, securitization has exploded by 47% this year.

Richter cited two notable signs. First, the Fitch Ratings Agency has just reported “weakening loan characteristics, declining underwriting quality, and concerns about originator, banker, and rating agency competition…. CMBS cannot afford a repeat of the 2008-2009 experience.” Neither can the American population.

Second, the price index of commercial real estate has shot up in 2015 to where it is 20% higher than the peak in 2007 before the global financial crash.

The U.S. commercial real estate and CMBS bubble is more than matched in explosiveness by that of Canada. The national economy there is officially in recession after another contraction of GDP in the third quarter. Its financial system is significantly more concentrated in assets to the oil and gas sector, than is Wall Street. The center of the oil sector is Calgary, Alberta; and there home prices are now falling, unemployment is rising, and 16% (and rising) of the urban area’s total commercial real estate space is empty, according to Bloomberg Nov. 11. Already back in February, the data firm CanOils found that fewer than 10 of the leading 50 Canadian oil and gas companies would be able to sustain their operations long-term with oil at $50 per barrel. It has been below $50 since then and a total of nine Canadian oil drilling and oilfield service firms have already gone under.

Part 2 of the Basement’s Galaxy Class Series. What do we know about our Sun’s motion through the Galaxy? Within the last century mankind has begun to realize that the steady, dependable stars of the night time sky are not fixed in place (as had been thought for millennia), but are traveling relative to our Sun, and to each other, at remarkable speeds. The most recent observation program (Hipparcos) has precisely measured the motions of over 100,000 stars (with a billion stars to be measured in the coming years). We are getting better and more precise descriptions than ever before, but do we have the scientific minds, like Kepler, to discover the underling principles?

The material covered in this class is also addressed in the written pedagogy: Towards a Galactic Science Driver: The Solar System’s Motion Through the Galaxy • Part 1

At a daily news conference in Washington on Nov. 9, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest put pressure on India to toe the line on the reduction of carbon emissions to decrease the impacts of global warming—in other words, to acquiesce to the green genocide agenda. “…We have seen India take important steps in the past, and there was, earlier in the President’s Administration, a commitment that was made by the Indians to limit hydrofluorocarbons,” Earnest told reporters. Earnest’s statement was designed to pressure India to abandon its plans to build coal-fired power plants, which reversal would deprive hundreds of millions of Indians of electrical power.

Tuesday in Paris, the three-day, final pre-summit preparatory meeting took place, where representatives from 70 nations hashed out the final version of a draft text (not made public) for the December confab. The draft is now 55 pages, with 1,500 bracketed sections, indicating points of disagreement. An earlier, 20-page version was denounced last month as “apartheid” by the South African delegate.

India is unwilling to abandon building of coal-fired power plants and is considered a hold-out on the climate-change issue. Former Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh recently pointed out that India cannot abandon coal. “It would be suicidal on our part to give up on coal for [the] next 15-20 years, at least, given the need,” he said.

India’s Minister of State for power, coal, and new and renewable energy, Piyush Goyal, said recently: “It is a matter of shame that 68 years after independence we have not been able to provide a basic amenity like electricity.” India has 125 coal-fired power plants in operation and plans to build 140 more using the more efficient “super-critical” technology.

An article Tuesday in the Global Times, penned by Swaran Singh, said China and India have “increasingly projected themselves as responsible stakeholders willing to partner with advanced nations in addressing the climate change crisis. Together they have achieved a consensus on common but differentiated responsibilities (CBDR) which has become the basis for ongoing deliberations.” The article also said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, explaining the cardinal principle of differentiated responsibility, pointed out that India is keen “to make societal interventions to create opportunities for everybody, creating conditions where the least developed countries can also hope to develop.”

Timed with this week’s Paris pre-meeting, came two new, fraudulent reports to goad compliance with COP21 evil. The World Meteorological Organization asserts that the 2014 volume of greenhouse gases reached a new record, and the Earth is threatened with overheating. The World Bank asserted that if no action is taken to radically reduce carbon emissions, there will be 100 million more people in poverty by 2030.

Former Senator Kit Tatad of the Philippines has issued an article reviewing and praising EIR’s Special Report, “Global Warming Scare is Population Reduction, Not Science,” for publication in his regular column in the Manila Times.

Sen. Tatad, a prominent political figure as well as a lay Catholic writer, first identifies the Laudato Si Encyclical as one which “has been praised by many who praise anything the Pope says,” but says many “devout Catholics” believe that calling “Mother Earth as the source of all life is poetry, not theology or science, and a possible slipping toward paganism.”

He then references the EIR report, aimed at stopping the Paris Global Warming Conference from imposing deadly population-reduction policies on the world, based on false science. He quotes Helga Zepp-LaRouche, names the key culprits (Philip and Schellnhuber), their intention to reduce the population to one billion, and calls for people to sign the EIR “Resolution Against the Summit,” reproducing the entire resolution.

Is the Climate Change Crisis a Fraud?

Washington, D.C.—Among the many problems of our times, that of climate change has been hyped beyond all proportions in both developed and developing countries. Consequently, it has become virtually impossible to distinguish between the just and proper care of the environment, which is a great moral and social duty, and environmentalism, which is a great moral excess.

Pope Francis’s June 2015 encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si, Mi Signore (Praise be to you, my Lord), which has been praised by many who praise everything the Pope says, should have helped make the distinction much clearer. But many devout Christians, Catholics faithful to the Church Magisterium, feel Laudato Si’s paean to Mother Earth as the source of  all life is poetry, not theology or science, and a possible slipping toward paganism.

As a Catholic layman, I quote this objection boldly without endorsing it; I simply want a clarification. I see the environment as part of the natural order of things created to support the existence and glory of man; I reject the suggestion that  man is merely a part and servant of the environment, and, whenever necessary, may be sacrificed for it.  This cannot be an unreasonable position.

Paris 2015

But this is precisely where  the world today has split into two opposite poles. The polarization will be on full display in Paris from Nov. 30 to December 11, when the United Nations convenes the World Climate Summit. This will bring in political, religious, business, industry, union and social leaders from everywhere, and will be the biggest conference ever held in France.  It will conclude an unprecedented series of dozens of conferences on anthropogenic climate change (climate change caused or influenced by humans) during the year in the French capital.

Its main objective will be to conclude a legally binding international convention being pushed by the French and Peruvian governments, which will oblige every nation to agree to specific goals to reduce global warming to less than two degrees Celsius. All forms of media and instruments of public opinion are being mobilized to support this effort, and drown all skepticisms or objections.

Schiller Institute dissents

Yet here in Washington, D.C., the Schiller Institute, a political and economic think tank based here and in Germany, has published a report calling the Paris conference satanic and a swindle.  It has also released a resolution calling on the citizens of the world to defeat the declared objective of the summit.

The report appears in the current issue of Executive Intelligence Review, and is authored by Helga Zepp-La Rouche, founder and chairman of the Institute. She is a German-born intellectual who is active in many humanitarian causes.  I first met her a few years ago on Rhodes Island in Greece where we both spoke at the Dialogue of Civilizations. I have tried to follow her writings since. She minces no words, and she makes a lot of sense.

Not science but population reduction

Zepp-LaRouche argues that the call for the decarbonization of the world economy, which ultimately means the banning of nuclear energy and fossil fuels, and the sole reliance on renewable energy sources, is based not on established science, but rather on an ideological scheme to establish an eco-dictatorship that would compel people, especially those in developing countries, to do away with the achievements of scientific and material progress, thereby bringing down their living standards, their life expectancies and their cognitive capabilities.

The ultimate objective, according to the report, is the drastic reduction of the world population — from the present 7.3 billion to just one billion.

Carbon Concentration Low

The report maintains that the man-made portion of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in the atmosphere is negligibly low 0.018 percent, and the connection between CO2 emissions and climate change is unproven, thus the entire argument is based on a swindle.

The report continues:

If you look at the Earth’s climate over millions of years, the changes from warming periods, ice ages, interglacial periods, little ice ages, rewarming periods after these ice ages, etc. result from cosmic radiation in connection with our Sun’s cycle of activity for which the number of sunspots forms a measure of the Sun’s energy production; changes in the characteristic of the Earth’s orbit; and the changing position of the Solar system in our galaxy, to name only some of the changing parameters.

How to bring down population to one billion

What is very well proven, by contrast to anthropogenic climate change, is the connection between the energy-flux density applied in the production process and the number of human beings that can be supported by that production process level. By the intended decarbonization of the world economy, combined with the simultaneous demonization of nuclear energy, thus reducing society to renewable energy sources only, the potential population which can be maintained at these lower energy flux densities is also reduced and goes roughly to the pre-industrial era — a maximum of one billion people.

Royal sources of mischief

The report attributes the alleged population reduction scheme to the most distinguished of British royal sources, no less than Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, who is famously quoted as having said that when he dies he would like to be reborn a virus so he could reduce the population of the world to a minimal size.

Named as an active collaborator in the alleged scheme is the Queens climate change adviser, who is also German Chancellor Angela Merkels adviser, who is also Pope Francis’s adviser — Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, founder and director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Change. In 2009, Schellnhuber was reported to have told the failed Copenhagen Climate Change summit that the carrying capacity of the Earth only allowed one billion humans.

After Fukushima

In April 2011, one month after the earthquake-tsunami in Fukushima, Japan, Schellnhuber reportedly came up with a program for the German government (entitled Social Contract for a Great Transformation), which projected complete decarbonization of the economy, the elimination of nuclear fission, which is advised against; nuclear fusion, which is claimed to be eventually attainable but too complicated; and the complete abandonment of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas by the year 2050.

This obviously explains Germany’s decision to abandon nuclear energy, along with Italy and some other countries. But at the second nuclear security summit in Seoul in March 2012, attended by President Barack Obama, Chinese President Hu Jintao, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, among others, the most significant statement I heard was that no substitute had yet been developed for it.

Resolution against the summit

ASIDE FROM THE HIGHLY CRITICAL REPORT, Schiller Institute also issued a resolution calling on international citizens to speak against the summit. Because the resolution is a direct attack on a project to which the UN and perhaps all governments have committed full support, it is not likely to receive any play in the mainstream press. For this reason, I thought it would be a service to reproduce it here just to hear the other side.  Thus this text:

The conditions of life for billions of people depend upon rejecting the agenda being presented at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Paris this December. The COP21 Paris initiative to adopt a legally binding agreement to reduce CO2 emissions must be rejected on two grounds: the scientific reality that mankind’s activity is not going to cause catastrophic climate change, and the very real, lethal consequences of the CO2 reduction programs being demanded.

There is no legitimate basis for having the COP21 conference. Put an end to this now!

Despite the climate-change narrative being presented by an extremely well-funded, top-down propaganda campaign, there is an immense amount of solid scientific evidence which clearly contradicts and/or refutes the claims of coming catastrophic climate change caused by human emissions of greenhouse gases.

For example, satellite measurements have shown that there has been no average rise in global temperatures for over 18 years, despite the fact that human greenhouse gas emissions have been increasing at an accelerating rate. This underscores the reality that the climate simply does not respond to CO2 levels in the way claimed by climate alarmists; said otherwise, the Earth’s climate system is not highly sensitive to changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations.

Because many climate models are using these false assumptions of high climate sensitivity to CO2, the predictions of these climate models have been consistently wrong, and with each year they are diverging further from reality. The gradual changes in the climate that have occurred over the recent decades, and the gradual changes which will continue to occur in the future, are not and will not be a cause for alarm.

Most of these changes are natural, and any impact mankind may have would be relatively minor. A healthy and growing world economy will be able to adapt to these changes.

We must also recognize that CO2 is not a pollutant; it is an essential part of the biosphere. Because the present atmospheric CO2 levels are well below the optimum for plant growth, human-caused increases in CO2 con-centrations are already contributing to increases in agricultural productivity and natural plant growth, creating a measurably greener planet.

But the Paris 2015 summit is not only about nations potentially wasting time and resources on a phantom problem existing only inside computer models, The ugly reality is that the CO2 reduction programs being pro-posed would increase poverty, lower living conditions, and accelerate death rates around the world. The world simply cannot support a growing population with improving conditions of life using only solar, wind, and other forms of so-called “green” energy.

More to the point, this scheme is being intensely promoted by modern followers of the population reduction ideology popularized by Thomas Malthus. Organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund for Nature have re-peatedly declared that current human population is billions of individuals beyond the Earth’s “carrying capacity,” and must therefore be reduced by some billions of people.

The present push for a CO2 reduction program is deeply rooted in this Malthusian ideological motivation. But Malthus was wrong in the eighteenth century, and his followers are wrong today.

Energy-intensive scientific, technological, and economic growth is essential to human existence. This can be measured by transitions to higher levels of energy flux-density, per capita and per area. Such progress, growth, and development is a universal right, and CO2 emissions are presently a vital part of that process for the overwhelming majority of the world’s population.

The adoption of a legally binding CO2 reduction scheme at the COP21 conference in Paris will condemn billions of people to a lower quality of life, with higher death rates, greater poverty, and no ability to exercise their inherent human right to participate in the creation of a better future for society as a whole.

This is deeply immoral.

For these reasons the CO2 reduction scheme of the COP21 conference in Paris must be rejected.

This week (November 8-14, 2015), we celebrate the birthday of Friedrich Schiller, born November 10, 1759, after whom the Schiller Institute is named. The Schiller Institute was founded in 1984 in the US And Germany, and has since evolved to become an international force for creating a New Paradigm for Civilization, based on the Common Aims of Mankind. Famous for our campaigns of Peace through Development, economic justice for all nations, “The New Silk Road Becomes the World Landbridge,” the fight for the Verdi Tuning of C 256 Hz, A 432 Hz, and much more, the Schiller Institute’s work around the world has inspired musicians, artists and citizens everywhere to “Dare to be Wise”, and organize. Indeed “the most beautiful of all works of art, is the construction of true political freedom.”

TRANCRIPT

Hello! Let me send greetings to your conference, on the very beautiful occasion of Schiller’s birthday, a birthday which we celebrate since the foundation of the Schiller Institute, every year in many countries around the globe.

Now, I want to speak to you about some of his works, which many of you probably know, but which I think is of really the highest relevance right now, namely about what Schiller develops in the Aesthetical Letters. As you know, he wrote these letters dealing with the aesthetical education of man in the context of the failed French Revolution, because he was asking, “Why is it that a great moment found such a little people?” And, he came to the conclusion: the objective possibility for change was there, but the subjective, the moral condition, was lacking.

Now, if that was true for Schiller’s time, I think it is all the more true for our time, and not only for Europe, but also for the United States. A couple of days ago, the New York Times had this unbelievable article, which reported about a study, according to which the death rate of middle-age Americans, white Americans, between the ages of 40 and 50 years old, is increasing 10% for the average, and 22% for the poor.

Now, 40 to 50 years is not an age at which you should die; these are the best years! So, what has happened? Well, the reason of this cause of death is drug addiction, drug abuse, alcohol, and suicide. Now, if you look at the circumstances otherwise in the United States, you have a rapidly sinking living standard for a large part of the population; people have to work longer hours—they have almost no leisure time. The permanent wars, which the United States has been involved in since the Bush Sr. administration, and then the two Bush Jr. administrations, and now Obama, have meant that many families are torn apart; the fathers are going on several tours to Iraq, Afghanistan, and so forth, coming back with post-traumatic stress disorder. Many times, the families don’t survive that.

Sixty percent of the people in New York alone, are either on the poverty line, or below — 60%. The CDC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, reported that there is a drug epidemic in the United States,  where for example, one in ten people in Baltimore is a heroin user.

Then, low interest rates, zero interest rate, is eating away the savings of many people who are saving for their pensions. You have the police violence, due to the fact that the police have been militarized. You have the Black-on-Black violence, school shootings; the homicide rate is going up continuously. And then you have the barbaric drone-killings, conducted by the United States abroad.

So, just to highlight a couple of these things, it means that the United States is really in a Dark Age, and nobody can deny that. So how do we change this?

How can we change this nightmare? And I think that what Schiller has developed in the Aesthetical Letters, is today as much the method for getting people out of it, as it was in his time. He said, where do you find the venue; where should the change come from? It cannot come from the state, because it is the state itself, which is the cause of evil in its present form; and the state would have to be re-established first, on more noble principles, if the state was supposed to change this.

“Reason itself,” he says, “will select the most noble fighter, and supply him or her with divine weapons.” And then he says, how is it that in modern times, with all the knowledge and all the technology, that we are still barbarians? There must be something in the mind of people, in the character of human beings, which prevents the direct reception of truth. And, therefore he says, “sapere aude”, “be courageous enough to be wise,” and he mentions the ancient myth that the goddess of wisdom came to Earth already in full armament, and her first action was a warrior-like deed.

Now, most people are so much under the burden of taking care of their livelihoods, that they don’t want, and cannot take the additional burden to think. And, therefore, they have an inclination to take the opinion from some group to which they belong, be it the church, the priest, the club, their peers, the media, or any other group. To have wisdom, and to love wisdom, one already has to be wise to appreciate it.

So, therefore, the question is: how does one find a way to the mind? And Schiller says, “You have to find it through the heart.” And, therefore, he came to the conclusion that the development of what in German is called Empfindungsvermögen, “the sensuous comprehension of the world”—the ability of the totality of emotions and intellect, to absorb the world and improve it—that that development is the most important task of our time.

He says, “All improvement in the political realm, therefore, can only come through the ennoblement of the character of the individual. But, how can this occur, when the state is in such a barbaric condition?” And Schiller gives, for some, the surprising answer, “It can only happen through beautiful art. Because, Classical art and science are the only two areas which have an immunity against the arbitrariness of the despot.

“The despot, the tyrant, can outlaw art, but he can’t rule in it. The artist can be the son of his time, but he should not be its product. The artist must take the ideals from a better, more noble period. But, how does the artist protect himself from the influences of his time? By despising its judgment.”

“He has to take the highest ideals, but not the basic imperatives; and not present them as basic imperatives, but to present them in a playful way.” He says, “the only way how you can eliminate rawness in the behavior, is you have to take it out of leisure time and out of the entertainment. And slowly, then the rawness will also be banned from the convictions. Rawness will be overcome through beauty in art. But, it has to be a notion of beauty which is not derived from experience, but beauty must be defined as a notion by reason through the abstraction of reason. You have to come to the conclusion that if man is supposed to be worthy of man, of the dignity of mankind, beauty must be seen as an absolute necessary condition of humanity. Beauty in art belongs both to the realm of reason, if it’s defined in this way, and to the world of the senses, because it reconciles both. It ennobles our senses, and develops them up to the level of reason so that there is no contradiction anymore.”

In the Introduction of The Bride of Messina, which is a play by Schiller, he says that the experience of great art invokes in the mind of the audience a power, a power which sets him really free and not just for the moment. It sets him internally free; a power that does not go away after the performance is over, because it sets free the divine characteristics in the human being, the inner-directedness, the self-guiding, that ability to think and be creative for yourself, without group-think.

If the United States is to be saved from its present condition of barbarism, then only through a Renaissance movement inspiring the population through the beauty of great art, only that can accomplish it. And, as Schiller says, “Truth and Beauty will be received by the more noble souls in society, and then from there, spread in milder rays throughout the whole population.”

So therefore: “Dare to be wise,” and join us.

Egyptians are furious at the allegations expressed by British Prime Minister David Cameron (in the face of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi who is visiting Britain), that terrorists downed the Russian civilian airplane in the Sinai. This hits at many sensitive issues: (1) ISIS is almighty, and Egypt cannot secure the country. (2) A major hit at Egypt’s economy, which is still reliant on tourism. (3) Affects Egyptian-Russian relations. (4) Gives a boost to the terrorists Russia is fighting in Syria and the terrorists Egypt is fighting at home.

The strongest statement came from the Chairman of the Board of Al-Ahram publishing corporation and think tank, Said Ahmad El-Naggar. He is an outspoken anti-Wahhabi, is pro-Syrian unity and sovereignty, supports Russia’s intervention in Syria, and is a promoter of the extension of the Silk Road to Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. He has recently created such a crisis with Saudi Arabia—by accusing it of supporting takfiri terrorism— that the Saudi Ambassador was called home. He had a near fist fight with the Saudi Ambassador in Algeria, who threw a glass of water in his opponent’s face during a political debate.

El-Naggar wrote the following on his Facebook page today (EIR translation):

“What Britain is doing can be considered the cheapest and lowest form of political rudeness, which it has saved to utter to coincide with the visit of the President of Egypt. Egyptians have tried to forget the history of Britain’s thievery and murder when it occupied Egypt and looted, killed, and tortured the Egyptian people for 72 years.

“Egyptians have tried to forget in order to build ties based on mutual benefit. But Britain insists on reminding us that it is an enemy of Egypt through launching a severe insult against Egypt and the tourism sector, and against the millions of workers and services related to it.

“It did not even bother to present a single piece of evidence for its allegations; that sounds like a sabotage operation rather than an effort to find the truth, which experts from Egypt, Russia, and France are working hard to discover.

“The only case which could lead Britain to make such a statement with confidence—that there was a terrorist act behind the tragedy of the Russian plane crash in Sinai, without showing evidence backing the claim—is that Britain had prior knowledge of, and collaboration with the terrorists, since Britain is the safe haven for all kinds of terrorist groups. Britain does not deserve the continuation of the Presidential State visit.”

On the eve of the COP21 conference in Paris at the end of this month, the LaRouche Citizens’ Movement of Mexico, MOCILA, intervened on Nov. 4 in a Senate “Forum of Analysis” of Pope Francis’s Laudato Si’ encyclical, to expose its true genocidal character and the role of such satanists as Hans Joachim Schellnhuber.

The forum was organized by the Senate Select Climate Change Committee, led by Sen. Silvia Garza Galvan of the National Action Party (PAN). Co-sponsors included the Mexican Institute for Christian Social Doctrine (IMDOSOC) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. This was a historic event, in the sense that, despite the fact that Mexico is a Catholic country, for the first time, the Senate opened its doors to high-level representatives of the Church. Monsignor Rogelio Cabrera Lopez, Archbishop of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, and Monsignor Juan Armando Perez Talamantes, the Auxiliary Bishop of Monterrey, attended to officially present the Pope’s encyclical. The Pope is scheduled to visit Mexico in February 2016.

Before a large audience of senators, priests, leaders of social groups, environmentalists, academics, students and media, MOCILA member Carolina Domínguez was given time to speak from the floor, representing those who oppose the encyclical’s anti-human message.

The legitimate question that should be asked, she said, is whether it’s true that anthropogenic activity, human activity in the biosphere, is the cause of climate change. “We should also be asking,” she said, “who is advising Pope Francis? His name is Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, a Malthusian very close to the Club of Rome.” She went on to charge that the Club of Rome’s networks, and their premise that there are limits to growth, have taken control of the Holy See, and from there of many other institutions to create a “scientific consensus” and launch the offensive against human industrial activity, supposedly because it is responsible for climate change.

Domínguez appealed to the the Church leaders present, and to the audience, to “reestablish the concept of Imago Viva Dei — that is, man in the living image of God, in which the goodness that man receives from the Creator, and his protection of the common good, is recognized.” And yet, the MOCILA leader charged, that concept is not reflected in the Pope’s encyclical. Rather, it states that man is evil, and that the carbon dioxide that humanity emits is the cause of climate change—this, when it has been proven that the quantity of carbon dioxide in greenhouse gases is insignificant. In a direct challenge, Domínguez asked the bishops, how it was possible that the Catholic Church in Mexico is supporting a doctrine which it has historically and consistently always rejected.

Following the event, MOCILA members were able to speak with senators and Church leaders about how the plan to reduce CO2, decarbonizing the economy, is a plan to exterminate a large portion of the human population.

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio), initiator of the House bill to re-instate Glass-Steagall (H.R. 381, “Return to Prudent Banking Act of 2015”), yesterday spoke on the House floor, calling on Congress to take action. The latest signer is Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-PA), Philadelphia, who co-signed on Nov. 3.

Kaptur’s remarks follow, from the full transcript in the Congressional Record for Nov. 5:

“Mr. Speaker, I rise to  encourage you to join with me and 69 of our colleagues, a total of 70 already, who have signed on to cosponsor H.R. 381, the Return to Prudent Banking Act. This bipartisan bill would restore the provisions of the Glass-Steagall banking law that separated prudent banking from wild speculation in the financial realm.

“Yesterday marked the 16th year, to the day, that Congress repealed the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999, bestowing on financial institutions and investment firms the ability to put the life savings and deposits of the American people at greater risk. I was one of the 57 Members of this Congress who voted against that repeal of Glass-Steagall. At that time, my colleagues and I were told by Wall Street that the banks were strangled by outdated restrictions, that the repeal was a modern experiment in deregulation; so Congress repealed this bedrock law, over our objections. Look where that decision took America. We witnessed a terrible market crash in 2008; now, slow growth and the outrageous enormous accumulation of banking assets in a handful of institutions like JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America. They are raking in record-shattering profits while paying depositors almost nothing on their interest or on certificates of deposit as wages for working-class Americans continue to flatline.

“The original Glass-Steagall Act served our country well. It laid the foundation for an unprecedented half century without financial panics or crises. Just as important, it contributed to a right-sized banking system focused on serving our economy and society as a whole rather than enriching itself at everyone elses expense.

“This Congress must reinstate the regulatory prudence of the Glass-Steagall Act. Without these proper safeguards, it is only a matter of time before Wall Street’s greedy operatives once again steer the American economy over the precipice. Therefore, I urge my colleagues to co-sponsor H.R. 381, the Return to Prudent Banking Act of 2015. Help restore prudence, discipline, and sanity to our financial system and, in turn, real economic growth to Americas.”

The ASEAN-Plus meeting of defense ministers fell apart on Wednesday, as Malaysia, chairing the meeting in Kuala Lumpur, and most of the ASEAN nations, stood up against Obama’s war-mongering thug tactics (through his Secretary of Defense Ash Carter), refusing to bend to Carter’s demand that the final communique include US-approved wording on the South China Sea.

The Information Office of China’s Ministry of National Defense said that “China had reached a consensus with Malaysia and other ASEAN countries on the content” of the proposed Joint Communique, drafted by host country Malaysia — meaning they had found a way to address the South China Sea that was acceptable to the Philippines and Vietnam (since all ASEAN decisions are done by consensus), or that the issue would be left out altogether. However, Carter rejected the draft, and demanded (with Japanese and Australian support, press reports indicate) that Malaysia present a new draft condemning China for its activities in the South China Sea. Malaysia and at least most of ASEAN refused — far more interested in the real problem of ISIS and terrorism and cooperation with China on both defense and economic development. As a result, there was no final communique issued at all.

The Chinese Defense Ministry said that “some individual countries outside the region ignored the existing consensus and attempted to forcefully add into the declaration contents not discussed during the meeting. Such behavior totally deviated the purposes and principles of the ADMM-Plus (ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting Plus) and damaged the central and dominating role of ASEAN in the mechanism.”

Of course, the US blamed China for the meeting’s collapse. They claimed that it was China’s reclamation activities that are responsible for the disputes and that it was China had used it’s economic clout to armtwist the ASEAN nations.

The fact that it was Malaysia which led the fight against the US war policy is very significant. Malayisa also has claims in the South China Sea, and has expressed its concern about China’s claim to the entire area. Also, Prime Minister Najib is in deep trouble over a huge corruption charge over a state investment fund which is missing billions of dollars, and it was believed by many that Najib would do Obama’s bidding to sustain US support in the crisis.

But he did not. We can expect some nasty operations against Malaysia as a result of their courage in defending peace and development.

Ash Carter also took the opportunity of meeting with Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan at the forum in Kuala Lumpur to bluster, according to Carter’s aide, that “the United States will continue to fly, sail, and operate wherever international law allows,” and that “the South China Sea would not be an exception.” This again demonstrates that Obama is simply lying, again, in saying the US takes no position on the issue of sovereignty over the South China Sea, since the US destroyer’s breach of the 12-mile limit around the Chinese islands on Oct. 27 clearly shows they have taken a position against China, and are threatening war.

A wide range of factors have contributed to results shown in the recent Harvard study, showing a significant increase in middle-age deaths in America. In effect, since President Bill Clinton left office, the American people have gone through 15 years of Hell, parallel to the Hell that Russia suffered during the 1990s’ “lost decade” under Boris Yeltsin. In demographic terms, the process in the US over the past 15 years has mirrored the destruction of Russia. Since 2001, health care costs have risen by 20-30 percent a year, even under Obamacare, and many Americans simply do not have full access to the healthcare system.

From 2001 on, the US has been engaged in permanent warfare in Iraq, Afghanistan, and now in Syria. The stress on families of soldiers who have served multiple tours in combat has been tremendous, with much of the impact hard to quantify, such as the effect on young children of being raised by one parent, with the constant financial pressures and concerns about combat injuries and deaths. The number of returning combat veterans with PTSD adds to the crisis.

Poverty has become a growing factor, with the poverty rate among young males in Washington, DC, growing by 5-12 percent per year. In New York City, 60 percent of the population is living at or below the poverty level, when real inflation of housing and other costs is taken into account.

Under the Fed’s zero interest rate policy, retirees and families attempting to save for retirement have been looted, through a loss of interest earnings. Alternatively they have been drawn into the stock market and other speculative investments, where they are vulnerable to outright theft by the vultures.

The Harvard study cited increasing middle-age deaths from drug and alcohol abuse, and this is truly reaching epidemic proportions. In July, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) published a study showing that heroin addiction in the United States has skyrocketed from 2011-2014, with the largest increases among women and non-Hispanic whites. Among families with an income of $50,000 or more, the rate of increase over that period was 60 percent. In Baltimore, which is known as the “Heroin Capital of the United States,” one in ten residents abuses heroin. The rise in middle-class heroin addiction was linked by the CDC study to the expanding use of prescription pain killers like OxyCondin. Increasingly, people addicted to pain killers are turning to heroin, which is one-fourth the price of the prescription drugs, and is now readily available in communities all over the country. The CDC study found that people using prescription pain killers are 40 times more likely to abuse heroin. Heroin addiction has gone up by 150 percent in the United States since 2007, aided by a massive influx of cheap and potent South American heroin, supplementing the Mexican and Asian heroin flows.

The same day that the New York Times reported on the Harvard study on middle-age death rates soaring, the Times also reported on an alarming rise in suicides, noting, from a May 2015 study published in JAMA [Journal of the American Medical Assoc.] Pediatrics that suicide rates in rural areas have gone up by 20 percent from 2004-2013 and by 7 percent in urban areas.
