Speaking to a gathering in Manhattan on Saturday, Lyndon LaRouche called for bringing the world into a new period of Harmony.

This coming week, the effort to create that harmony will be focused on Manhattan, where the U.N. General Assembly is meeting.

On Monday, LPAC will be holding a rally directly outside the U.N., on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, which will feature LPAC’s Manhattan chorus and banners that say, “Putin Stops Obama’s Holocaust.”

On Tuesday, representatives of Lyndon LaRouche’s basement team will present, in Manhattan, the EIR blockbuster report debunking the Global Warming hoax as the Satanic evil that it is.

This is an essential intervention against the dissonance to be heard later in the week at the U.N.’s sustainable development conference, and the British Monarchy’s captured Pope Francis’ calls for population reduction.

This will set the stage for the following Monday’s opening discussion of the General Assembly, that will feature the discordant calls of Barack Obama for war and destruction, against the calls for a new spirit of cooperation among Mankind by China’s President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The world will be watching Manhattan.  LaRouche’s forces will be there to get it singing.

In response to a briefing on the response of several economists to the Fed’s non-action and their lying justification of that non-action, Lyndon LaRouche responded, in paraphrase:

President Barack Obama’s drive to provoke a thermonuclear confrontation with Russia has been stymied through a series of war-avoidance moves that have fundamentally altered the global strategic landscape.

The key initiating blow to Obama’s effort was Russian President Vladimir Putin’s brilliant flanking maneuver in Syria. Now it is universally confirmed that Russia has established a deeper military presence inside Syria.  A new Russian-built airbase near Latakia on the northern Syrian Mediterranean coast will be completed within several weeks.  The Islamic State and Nusra Front offensive to oust President Bashar Assad has been set back by the Russian actions.  President Obama is in a state of rage, but is boxed in by the Putin actions.  Putin has deepened the trap for Obama by pressing for the US President to agree to a face-to-face meeting later this month in New York City on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.  Putin’s speech before the General Assembly will set forth a proposal for a global war against the Islamic State and other, allied terrorists.

Even before the Putin actions in Syria, sane forces in Western Europe were terrified into action by the recognition that Obama was driving for confrontation with Russia, and that such a confrontation could rapidly turn into a thermonuclear war.  When Putin took the decisive action in Syria, while pressing for implementation of the Minsk Accords to end the crisis in eastern Ukraine, European governments, led by Germany, made a major policy shift.  Germany, and now France, have welcomed the Russian initiative in Syria and called for broad cooperation between the West and Russia to solve the crisis, which has flooded Europe with refugees from the Obama-British wars in the Middle East and North Africa.

Inside the United States, a revolt has erupted among military intelligence personnel assigned to the Central Command, who have filed formal complaints that high-level Obama officials have been pressuring them to “cook” the intelligence on the war on the Islamic State, to create the appearance of success, when, by every sane measure, the US-led war on ISIS has been an utter failure.  In effect, Obama and DNI Gen. James Clapper, who is accused of leading the pressure campaign on the analysts, are following in the footsteps of Vice President Dick Cheney, in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq in March 2003.  Decades earlier, the same “body count” arguments, being foisted on the Centcom analysts, were used to prolong the doomed Vietnam war.

These combined actions have blunted Obama’s war drive against Russia—for the time being.  There can be no let-up on the demand for Obama’s removal from office, either through impeachment, forced resignation, or the invoking of the 25th Amendment.  So long as Obama remains in office, even if he is restrained by sustained war-avoidance efforts, the danger will remain.  The estimate is that Obama is doomed by his own failed policies, but his removal is the only guarantee that his doom will not also lead to doom for mankind as a whole.

Addressing the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) heads of state at Dushanbe on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow will keep providing military-technical support to Damascus to counter the growing threat of ISIS which has spilled across the region, Tass reported.

“I would like to say that we support the Syrian government in [the] fight against terrorist aggression, we assist it and will keep rendering necessary military-technical assistance to it,” he said, urging other countries to join the fight. “It is evident that without an active participation of the Syrian authorities and military, without participation of the Syrian army inside the territory, as the military say, in [a] fight against Islamic State, terrorists cannot be expelled from that country and from the region on the whole, the multi-national and multi-confessional Syrian people cannot be protected against destruction, enslavement and barbarity,” he added. He also said these terrorists plunge people into chaos and poverty, Tass reported.

The Russian President also pointed out that the Islamic State’s threat has gone beyond Iraq and Syria.

“Islamic State (IS) terrorists have already announced their plans to attack the holy cities of Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem,” he said. He pointed out that the jihadists also plan to spread their activities to Europe, Russia, central and southeastern Asia, Tass reported.

In addition, the situation in Afghanistan is degrading as the influence of the IS in that country has spread, he noted. “The scale of that organization’s activity has gone far beyond the bounds of Iraq and Syria,” Putin said. Taking a jab at the US- and NATO-comprised International Security Assistance Forces’ inaction against narcotic drugs production, he said: “You all know the way this threat is growing” in Afghanistan and Central Asia. 

There is a reason that Lyndon LaRouche began his weekly broadcast discussion with the LaRouche PAC Policy Committee on Sept. 14, with a sharp polemic on the way people generally think. “The first thing I would do,” he stated from the outset, “is say that people who are picking out facts as such, about what is happening internationally, are just fooling themselves. The process is a process, and you cannot understand the process in terms of details. So details are wrong.”

And if you think wrong, you will fail to understand what is actually happening in the world, and you will certainly fail to act in the proper fashion to shape and direct that process. “The problem here is that Bertrand Russell introduced a corruption, which is called ‘the facts,’ ” LaRouche stated.

“Putin moved with China to set up a dynamic process internationally,” LaRouche said. “This was responded to by Germany. And, in that context, Germany changed its policy to tie itself to cooperation with our economy here, and also in Germany…. They recognized that the whole system they’d been operating on is finished.” Top circles in Germany also put their foot down against the trajectory towards thermonuclear war which Obama’s provocations against Russia and China were creating.

“What does it mean? It means that Obama’s in deep trouble, for one thing, and that’s as it should be.” LaRouche continued: This global sea-change “is hitting the United States on the head right now. Because Wall Street is not merely something which is doomed; it’s more than doomed!”

As a result of that global process, there is now near-universal recognition, both in the United States and internationally, that Obama’s entire Southwest Asia policy has led to a total catastrophe, including the spread of endless wars in the region and the plight of millions upon millions of refugees that they have produced. And it is now also an open secret that the discredited Obama doesn’t have the foggiest idea of how to respond to Russian President Putin’s international initiatives to defeat ISIS; stop the wars in the Middle East, and bring the refugee crisis under control.

Lyndon LaRouche does.

First, remove Obama from office with the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. (An immediate corollary would be to release the 28 pages, which would have the salutary effect of removing the British-run Saudi Kingdom from the international terrorism equation altogether.)

Second, take Russian President Putin up on his offer to establish an international coalition—including the sovereign governments of the region—to combat ISIS and other terrorist expressions, putting an end to the wars which have ravaged the region.

Third, join with China, Russia, and the other BRICS nations in unleashing a full-set development revolution globally, built around the international application of FDR’s Glass-Steagall, the establishment of a Hamiltonian credit policy, and the World Land-Bridge perspective which Lyndon and Helga LaRouche have pioneered for decades.

Among its other salutary effects, that policy will cause Bertrand Russell to roll over in his grave.

Former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel of Alaska, a 2008 candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination and longtime trenchant critic of U.S. foreign policy, including that of the Obama Administration, told the United Nations press Monday, in New York, that China’s policy offers solutions to world economic and political crises. Gravel pointed to China’s “One Belt, One Road” global infrastructure development policy for the solution to the world economic crisis, and said he sees no solution from inside Obama’s United States.

Senator Gravel also expounded on the “horrible” U.S. foreign policy pushed by U.S. neo-Cons like Victoria Nuland with Obama’s support in Ukraine. Russian President Putin responded and acted with intelligence to stop war from escalating by annexing Crimea, Gravel asserted. Obama, he said, is the continuation of the 1988 Bush Administration and its neo-Cons. Gravel’s two-hour press conference featured many questions from the 20-30 press in attendance. They included China’s People’s Daily, China Daily, Xinhua, and Wenhui Daily; Itar Tass of Russia; Deutsche Welle Radio, the German Press Agency, and taz.de of Germany; The Wall Street Journal and wnd.com from the United States; Italy’s La Stampa and Ansa news agency; Canada’s Global Research; Pakistan’s The Dawn and Associated Press of Pakistan; Al Akbar of Beirut; Al Hurra TV, of the Mideast Broadcasting Network; Salima Press, Iranian, Bulgarian, and Japanese press, and others.

Senator Gravel was introduced by UN Correspondents’ Association Member Joe Lauria of the Wall Street Journal, who reported that he had traveled with Gravel early in 2008 when, as a Democratic Presidential candidate, he debated eight candidates including Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Lauria said that in 1971, Daniel Ellsberg had acted to expose the top secret intelligence contained in the Pentagon Papers on the Vietnam War, but “only Sen. Mike  Gravel had the courage to undertake reading that classified intelligence into the Congressional Record.” (Because there was no quorum for Senate business, Gravel had to call a hearing of the Buildings and Grounds Subcommittee he chaired on June 29, 1971, and with the press in attendance, read the Pentagon Papers to the hearing, which were later published by Beacon Press, as “The Senator Mike Gravel Edition of the Pentagon Papers.”)

Senator Gravel gave “Obamacare” as an example; which, he said, is three times as expensive as comparable medical care in the rest of world, and added that the United States has the worst delivery system. The people of the United States wanted a single payer system, he said; Obamacare supports the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies.

To the consternation of the financier oligarchy, new British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has put at the top of his Shadow Cabinet John McDonnell as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer; in the U.K. government, the Chancellor of the Exchequer heads the Treasury. McDonnell is not only Corbyn’s closest associate, but is the outspoken supporter of Glass-Steagall bank separation.

In a profile, Monday’s Financial Times wrote that the Corbyn-McDonnell team will advocate a more effective regulatory regime for banks with a “full-blown ‘Glass-Steagall system'” to separate retail and investment banking.

“The auditing regime will be shaken up and a new financial transactions tax would be introduced to rebalance the economy towards manufacturing. The new shadow chancellor has also promised to facilitate a wider range of company and enterprise ownership and control, including public, co-operative and stakeholder ownership.”

The Guardian pointed out Corbyn had former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis standing by his side at the Labour Party victory event. Some people tried to compare him to Varoufakis because of his anti-austerity views, quoting Corbyn, “Someone said to me: ‘Are you going to be Britain’s Yanis Varoufakis?’ And I said: ‘I could never be that cool,'” drawing laughs from the audience.

The Guardian wrote that many MPs will find the appointment of McDonnell “very hard to stomach.” The Blairites and establishment types in the Labour Party are not happy over the choice of McDonnell, having pushed for Angela Eagle, who had been a cabinet member under both Blair and his successor Gordon Brown. Charles Clarke, a former Home Secretary, said Monday that he was “aghast” at the appointment of McDonnell, and told the BBC’s Radio 4 “Today” program that centrist Labour MPs would probably begin to form their own shadow Treasury policy.

Other members of Corbyn’s Shadow Cabinet include Hilary Benn as Shadow Foreign Secretary, who held that position before Corbyn won. Benn is the son of the late left-wing Labour MP Tony Benn; notably, Hilary Benn was educated as a Russian and East European expert.

Andy Burnham, who came in second in the leadership race is now Shadow Home Secretary. Angela Eagle, the new Shadow Business Secretary, was also named Shadow First Secretary of State. Heidi Alexander will be Shadow Health Secretary; Lord Falconer, who at one time shared a flat with Tony Blair, will continue as Shadow Justice Secretary. Other appointments include: Seema Malhotra shadow chief secretary to the Treasury; Diane Abbott shadow minister for international development: Shadow Northern Ireland secretary Vernon Coaker; Rosie Winterton to continue as chief whip; Ian Murray to continue as shadow Scottish secretary.
