“A time comes when silence is betrayal”

—Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

August 6th marks the anniversary of two historic occasions. The first, the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Voting Rights Act by President Lyndon B. Johnson. The second, the 70th anniversary commemorating the day President Truman ordered the dropping of nuclear bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki only three days later.

In the midst of the fight for voting rights and justice for all, Dr. Martin Luther King interrupted his campaign to speak out against the injustices and horrors of war. He declared, “There is nothing except a tragic death wish to prevent us from reordering our priorities so that the pursuit of peace will take precedence over the pursuit of war.”

70 years after the tragic and deadly nuclear bombs dropped over Japan, killing tens of thousands of people, that tragic death wish looms—with thousands of weapons hundred of times bigger over the planet as a whole—as we witness the escalated drive toward thermonuclear war, by the actions of an ever more insane President Obama. Obama’s intention is to provoke a thermonuclear first strike attack on Russia, which would immediately escalate to nothing less than a global war of extinction.

The American people must rise like lions from their slumber, in unvanquishable number, as we did the last time Obama tried to launch an illegal war in Syria, in September 2013. It is high time to invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution, declare Obama to be mentally unfit for office by insanity, and remove him from office.

This threat of war coming from Obama on orders of the Queen is nothing the Russians are taking lightly. The Russians stand ready to defend their nation, but also know the threats to the extinction of the human species that such a war represents.

Statesman Lyndon LaRouche has issued a call to heed the warning of Dr. King in his epic words, “There is such a thing as being too late.” LaRouche’s recent challenge to Hillary Clinton to expose Obama’s lies on Benghazi, to bring him down now, is the unpractical flank needed to prevent “too late.”

Join in the mobilization of the LaRouche movement. Act now to defend the human species against the threat of extinction. Obama must be removed now.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Sputnik International, under the title, “US Analyst Claims Geopolitics Could Lead to Extinction of Human Race”, ran an interview with Helga Zepp-LaRouche on August 7, underscoring Lyndon LaRouche’s warning that a “Guns of August” scenario today would lead to a thermonuclear war.

Referring to the end of WWII, Sputnik quotes Zepp-LaRouche as saying, “There was absolutely no reason for this bombing as there was already peace negotiation between the emperor and the Vatican at that time. The bombing was done to instigate horror and awe by Truman so that he could continue the era of imperialism.”

Then, regarding the strategic situation today,

“There are many people who have been warning that the US and NATO are preparing a new war against Russia and China. There is a very serious escalation of the situation, making the month of August extremely dangerous as history shows most of the wars started in August, and the US military has changed tactic in Syria last week and the US army has gone into recess.”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi opened the ceremony opening the New Suez Canal by traveling, in a military uniform, on the 150-year-old Presidential yacht El-Mahroussa, the first ship to cross the original canal when it was first opened in 1869. By el-Sisi’s side onboard was nine-year-old cancer patient Omar Salah, who had expressed the one dream to meet President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, dressed in military gear, and to attend the opening of Egypt’s New Suez Canal.

Changing into civilian clothes, El-Sisi disembarked at Ismailia, on the Canal, where the ceremony was held and gave his address.

“With God’s blessings, I, Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi, President of Egypt, give permission for the operation of the New Suez Canal,” he said in his opening speech. “Within one year, Egyptians exerted a great effort to offer to the world and to Egypt a gift for humanity, for development, for building and for construction…

“Work did not take place in normal circumstances, and these circumstances still exist, and we are fighting them and we will defeat them. Evil was trying to harm Egypt and the Egyptians, and to halt its development.

“Egypt during this year stood against the most dangerous terrorist threat that would burn the world if it could.”

During the President’s speech, he paused as two giant ships were seen in the background crossing in opposite directions through two passages of the canal, amid cheers of those attending.

The President said that the New Suez Canal project cannot be seen simply as an engineering achievement, and that “Egyptians needed to feel, in a year’s time, that they have gained more confidence and security. As shown by the people’s happiness today, they needed to show themselves and the world that they can [accomplish such a project],” he said.

“We have to be one bloc, to face the challenge” he said, gesturing to the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed El-Tayyeb, and the Coptic Orthodox Pope, Tawadros II, who were sitting side-by-side in the audience. El-Sisi thanked “the martyrs who have sacrificed themselves for Egypt and for its stability … army, police, and innocent civilians,” and also thanked all those who participated in the New Suez Canal project, including the engineering division of the Armed Forces, the Armed Forces, and the Suez Canal Authority.

Celebrations in Ismailia were complemented by others in Alexandria, Cairo, and other cities throughout Egypt. The Cairo Opera House musicians, accompanied by international soloists, staged the Triumphal March from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Aida, whose story is set in ancient Egypt, written as part of the celebrations for the opening of the Suez Canal, and first premiered in Cairo in 1871.

Where was the U.S.?

Foreign dignitaries, including heads of state and government were invited. French President Francois Hollande was the Guest of Honor, while by a large delegation led by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev represented Russia. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was among the other heads of state and government who are attending. Other European dignitaries included British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon and German Deputy Prime Minister Sigmar Gabriel (SPD), while other European countries sent high-level officials, and many sent foreign ministers or other cabinet ministers.

Whom did President Barack Obama send? His Ambassador to Egypt, Stephan Beecroft, the lowest-level dignitary possible. The rest of the U.S. is represented by a Congressional delegation led by Darrel Issa (R-CA).

Throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, important dignitaries included: King Abdullah II of Jordan, King Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister of Malta George Vella, Italian Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti, Kuwait’s Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; United Arab Emirates Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammed Bin Zayed; Dubai’s ruler and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Rashid; Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman; Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir; Swiss Vice-President Johann Schneider-Ammann; Chinese Minister of Culture Luo Shugang; North Korean Parliament Speaker Kim Yong Nam; Angolan President Angola José Eduardo dos Santos; Deputy Prime Minister of Lesotho Mothetjoa Metsing; and Deputy Chairman of African Union Commission Erastus Mwencha. Other delegations are in Egypt from Romania, Niger, Congo, and Mauritania.

While Obama has said nothing, even British Defense Secretary Fallon had an op-ed in the Egyptian government-backed Al Ahram giving fulsome praise to Egypt:  “Today I am in Ismailia to mark a momentous milestone — the opening of Egypt’s new Suez Canal. The first canal opened more than 150 years ago and took 15 years to build. This one only took a year. Egyptian imagination, ingenuity and innovation are rightly famed for creating the ancient wonders of the world. Today, the inheritors of that rich history, unveil a modern wonder.”

While pessimistic European and American talking heads try to dismiss the “modern wonder,” the international shipping industry is extremely excited. Peter Hinchliff, the secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping, said “Completing the expansion in one year is astonishing.”

You’re at war whether you like it or not, and equally whether you know it or not.  A rapid countdown has already started towards a thermonuclear exchange between the United States and Russia.  Many insiders, for example numbers of US Senators, are fully aware of this.  The Italian Lieutenant General Fabio Mini, former chief of staff of NATO’s Southern Command and former commander of KFOR, told Enzo Pennetta in an interview Thursday, that given the American covert war against Russia itself, and the anti-Russian pretext wars from Ukraine to Syria and Yemen, “everything indicates that we must not expect another total conflict, [rather] we are already up to our necks in it.”

He added, “What is happening in Asia with the Pacific strategic pivot, is perhaps the most evident sign that the perspective of a WWII-like explosion is more probable in that theater. Not so much because aircraft carriers and missiles are being moved there (which is indeed taking place), but because the preparation for a world war of that kind, including the inevitable nuclear confrontation, is what is being prepared. That is not to say that it will happen immediately, but the longer the preparation goes on, the more resources will go into weapons and the more Asian and Western minds will orient more in that direction.”

Mini also understands the new type of war of today, as “gang war.”  When an American colonel was asked what kind of war he was fighting in Iraq in 2004, he answered, “This is gang war, and we are the biggest gang.”  He also understands the savage destruction of Greece as gang warfare, at the hands of supranational financial gangs.  All true.

As Victoria Nuland’s Nazis in Ukraine continue to drive Europe and the world towards war, the SBU, the Ukrainian Security Service, placed the Russian Chief of Staff, Valery Gerasimov, and ten other top Russian officers on its wanted list yesterday. It went so far as to claim it had notified the officers and received their responses, a claim which was answered with ribaldry by the Russian Defense Ministry.

And in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the ASEAN and ASEAN Regional Forum meetings almost adjourned without a communique Thursday, thanks to John Kerry’s aggressive baiting of China regarding territorial issues with its neighbors which are no business of Obama or the United States.  Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, who also attended the meeting, said that “The United States is engaged in a very huge military buildup in Asia, including under the pretext of countering the North Korean threat, but the scale of the buildup is way beyond the need and disproportionally huge….  We are very much concerned about the military buildup taking place in this region, the continued strengthening of the closed military blocs.”

Our war against thermonuclear war is to remove Obama from office.  There is no alternative solution which is likely to avert the threat of imminent thermonuclear war.

The moral equivalent of war is the two great canals: the New Suez Canal which was just inaugurated, and the Grand Inter-Oceanic Canal of Nicaragua, whose construction is scheduled to begin in November or December of this year.  Between them, these great projects change humanity’s relation to the world-ocean. When was the last time such great projects were undertaken?  The moving opening ceremonies in Ismailia, Egypt, yesterday, after exactly one year of construction, as against 15 years for the original canal, hailed the Egyptian youth who overthrew the Obama-supported Muslim Brotherhood dictatorship in their millions, and have gone on to create their own future by building this great project.

The following call to action was issued by the Schiller Institute on an emergency basis to be circulated internationally.

It is high time to break the most dangerous taboo of the present: to know and act on the acute possibility, that mankind may be annihilated within days or weeks.

On the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the world stands closer to the brink of thermonuclear war than at any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. The Obama Administration and NATO have placed mankind in jeopardy of sudden extinction through a series of senseless provocations directed against Russia, primarily, and China second.

When the Iron Curtain came down, an agreement was reached that, in return for Russian acceptance of German re-unification within NATO, there would be no further eastward expansion of NATO. Ukraine was identified as a crucial neutral buffer between East and West, with the idea that Ukraine would serve as a bridge between the European Union and the emerging Russian economic bloc.

All of those fundamental war-prevention agreements have now been violated. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland, publicly boasted in December 2013 that the US had spent $5 billion on “color revolutions” to draw Ukraine into the European Union, and, eventually, into NATO.

The US unilaterally withdrew from the ABM Treaty in order to deploy a missile defense system in Eastern and Southern Europe, ostensibly aimed at Iran, but actually targeted at Russia. Last week, the Obama Administration confirmed this reality by announcing the deployment would go forward, despite the P5+1 deal
with Iran. Russian officials have charged, all along, that the US unilateral BMD in Europe was part of a plan for a preemptive thermonuclear strike capability against Russia.

Deployment of that ABM system is well underway in Romania and Poland, and the first three ship-based AEGIS missile defense systems are already in place and have conducted maneuvers in the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea, both bordering Russian territory.

Now reports have surfaced that the upcoming Trident Juncture 15 NATO exercises will include rehearsals of use of nuclear weapons against Russia. Washington is moving ahead with production and deployment of a new generation of tactical nuclear weapons, the B-61-12, which can reach targets inside Russian territory from F-35 stealth fighter jets. An estimated 500 of the B-61-12 nuclear weapons are to be produced, with current plans calling for about 200 of them to be deployed on continental Europe.

These unmistakable provocations have not gone unnoticed in the East and West. Since the onset of the Ukraine coup in November 2013, Russia has gone through major upgrading of its entire thermonuclear strategic force. Russian defense officials have publicly warned that they have developed and deployed an undefeatable nuclear second strike. To demonstrate this, Russian strategic bombers and submarines have engaged in exercises in international waters near NATO territories.

During the duration of the month of August, there is a grave danger of provocations against Russia by President Obama, who could use the occasion of the Congressional recess to launch a war. A wide range of influential figures has already voiced these concerns, including retired Russian and American flag officers.
The decision of Obama, to change the rules of engagement of the US Air Force in Syria without Congressional approval three days after Congress went into recess, bringing about the immediate danger of an escalation into a war against Syria, which the Congress voted against two years ago, underlines the acuteness of
the danger.

In 1914 the world was sleepwalking into the catastrophe. Today, with arsenals of thermonuclear weapons sufficient to extinguish civilization dozens of times over, the world is sleepwalking again to the abyss.

We, the undersigned, demand the immediate stop of the confrontation against Russia and China and a return to political solutions of all conflicts.

I want to sign this petition!

Yesterday’s Pentagon and State Department briefings were the occasions for sharp questioning of the Obama Syria warfare policy of 1) training a few “moderate rebels;” 2) providing them air strike cover against anyone—including potentially Syrian government forces; and 3) doing it unilaterally, and calling it legal and Constitutional.

At the Pentagon, spokesman Navy Capt. Jeffrey Davis, was hit with reporters’ questions on these matters. He then sent out a statement later in the day admitting officially, that, indeed, on July 31, there was a firefight between a group of US-trained opposition fighters and 50 or so militants, and that the U.S. did conduct air strikes in support of the US-trained group. The militants were from Jabhat Al Nusra, not ISIL. This was the first airstrike not against ISIL, and illustrated the
hypothetical of U.S. air strikes against Syrian government forces.

Capt. Davis said, “As for the legal authorities question about engaging Assad’s forces, we won’t speculate about potential scenarios that might arise.” He said, “Our train-and-equip program is focused first and foremost on preparing appropriately vetted Syrian opposition forces to counter ISIL. At the commencement of the counter-ISIL campaign, we cautioned Syria not to engage U.S. aircraft. The Syrian regime would be similarly advised not to interfere with the counter-ISIL mission of the Syrian fighters we have trained and equipped. If the Syrian fighters we have trained and equipped come under attack, the President would have the authority under the Constitution to defend those fighters, but we will not discuss our specific rules of engagement.”

The relevant backdrop is that, only 60 “moderate rebels” have been trained and equipped so far in the U.S. $500 million ‘train-and-equip’ program. The original stated goal was 15,000 trainees, but fewer than 7,000 ‘applied,’ and finally, only 60 passed the vetting and training. Davis claimed yesterday not to have any information about casualties among the US-trained fighters in the July 31 firefight, he did admit that five of them were abducted by Al Nusra in a separate incident.

At the State Department, Deputy Spokesman Mark Toner was less assertive about legal authority. “I frankly don’t know what the legal authority is,” he said in direct response to a question. When pressed hard on the fact that, there’s no Congressional authorization nor is there a UN Security Council resolution authorizing the airstrike campaign that’s been underway since last August, much less, for the “major shift in policy” Obama decided on to protect the US-trained rebels, Toner could only mumble that “we’re in consultations” with both the Congress and the UN Security Council.

In fact, the only Administration acknowledgment of the new airstrike policy initiated July 31, came through an unnamed official to a Wall Street Journal blogger, posted Aug. 2. This follows the pattern of the Administration’s creeping into warfare without engaging the US Congress and the American public, as it
did in Libya in 2011 and almost did in Syria in 2013.

This stealth was castigated by Council Of Foreign Relations analyst Micah Zenko, in an Aug. 3 blog posting shortly after the news first broke that Obama had decided to authorize air strikes to defend the US-trained rebels from any and all attackers including, should that situation arise, Assad’s forces. “This truly significant decision, which more deeply commits U.S. credibility and military power to the outcome of the Syrian civil war, comes not from behind a White House or Pentagon podium, but rather from an anonymous official speaking to a reporter,” writes Zenko.”This should have been declared publicly by President Obama or Secretary Carter, who should have then been willing to answer some of the clarifying questions that Administration officials have refused to address in Congressional hearings.” Furthermore, “the legal basis for this policy decision is totally unclear.”

In concluding, Zenko notes that “Congress has still not authorized this latest open-ended war that began one year ago this week.” Or if there is a legal basis, the administration still has not articulated what that is. “[t]he White House or the Pentagon should immediately articulate this legal basis publicly, but given their pattern of behavior we certainly should not expect them to do so.”

As of this week, President Obama has de facto launched another U.S. war in the Middle East—this one against Syria. First came the announcement a week ago that the U.S. and Turkey had agreed on establishing a so-called “ISIS-free zone” inside Syria. Then came the decision announced two days ago to provide U.S. air cover to any “friendly forces” the U.S. is supporting inside Syria, who are actively trying to overthrow the Assad government in that country. This Obama decision of course means that the U.S. could at any time attack military forces of the Assad government—no U.N. mandate, no Congressional approval, just another de facto war.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke to the press after meeting in Qatar Monday with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, and he denounced the U.S. decision as “counterproductive.” Air strikes alone will not stop ISIS, he said; you need a coalition with the Syrian and Iraqi governments, and with the Kurds.

“We told our U.S. colleagues that the most important [thing] is, that up until now, all examples of US instructors training militants, the so-called moderate opposition, on the territory of neighboring countries, resulted in the vast majority of those militants ending up on the extremists’ side.” He added: “I hope that these gentlemen [Kerry and Jubeir] offer their assistance.”

Fyodor Lukyanov, head of the Moscow-based Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, which advises the government, stated, “The danger now is that IS may seize the whole of Syria,” Interfax reported. That same point was emphasized in an Aug. 3 RT article, which uses a quote from a Syrian journalist, Alaa Ibrahim, as its headline: “US air cover to Syrian rebels could be game-changer.” RT further quotes Ibrahim saying that “this could be very dangerous for the Syrian Army, because the main advantage it has over rebels right now is having an air force. If that is diminished, the rebels are more capable of providing a higher number of fighters because of the ongoing influx of foreign fighters crossing in from Turkey into Syria to join in the fight against the Syrian government.”

Preparations are moving forward rapidly for the grand opening of the New Suez Canal Project on August 6, exactly one year after the construction begun under orders of Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi. Dignitaries from all over the world have been invited. The celebrations include a fireworks display, a naval and air show, and a performance of Verdi’s opera Aida, which was commissioned for the opening of the Khedival Opera House, as part of the celebrations for the 1869 inauguration of the Suez Canal (the opera was not able to premiere in Cairo until December 1871). The ceremonies will be streamed live on mega-screens around the world, including in New York and Washington, Beijing, Tokyo, and London. There will also be a distribution of 50 fishing boats to locals and the opening of 460 fisheries.

Speakers will include both President el-Sisi and Adm. Mohab Mamish, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), who is in charge of the project.

According to the daily Al Ahram, the ceremony is a major project in itself and is designed to show Egyptians and the world the great accomplishments the Egyptian nation is now capable of.

“It is a message to all humanity,” declared Sami Abdel-Aziz, a media expert and member of the group planning the event. Underlying the fact that the new Suez Canal is a “unique endeavor” he said, “There were two core messages we wanted to convey. On the local level, we wanted to build a sense of pride and trust in the project; that the people had invested their money in the right way.” The message on the regional front is that “Egypt is a key player in the economy of the region, using sound facts and figures.” Meanwhile, “to the world, we wanted to show the impact of the new canal on the global economy, in terms of minimizing shipping time and cost.”

The ceremony has been financed by private donations from wealthy Egyptians and corporations.

Following the first trial run of several large container ships through the canal, Mamish told a news conference last July 31, “Everyone can now see a reality that showcases the ability of Egyptians to make progress and make miracles…. The idea, decision, planning, funding, and execution of the project are entirely Egyptian, with the help of Egypt’s patriotic youth. This endeavor is a rebirth for Egypt.”

With the widening of the southern part of the canal and the building of a new parallel channel in the northern part, waiting time to pass through the canal has been reduced from 22 to 11 hours. With an expected doubling of ships passing through the canal, revenues are expect to increase from $5 billion to $13.2 billion from transit fees.

Of course, the project is not over: There are proposed development projects across the entire canal zone.  “We have to keep the momentum going for all the other projects that will surround the new Suez Canal,” Abdel-Aziz said. At the July 31 news conference Mamish announced that el-Sisi had directed SCA to oversee development plans for East Port Said, and that work will begin on developing the Suez Canal region on Aug. 7, the morning after the celebrations.

The “Port Said East Container Terminal,” on the northern entrance to the canal, will be an extension of the current container terminal and allow for the largest size container ships to load and unload containers. The project is being carried out by China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC), while the design and engineering is being done by AECOM, a large American corporation specializing in infrastructure and large engineering projects. The project includes construction of a 3,937-foot (1,200-meter) extension to the existing deep-water berth for next generation container vessels.

This the conclusion of a study printed in the British medical journal Lancet, which was led by radiation protection expert Dr. Koichi Tanigawa from the Fukushima Medical University in Japan. The study found that “although the radiation dose to the public from [the] Fukushima [accident] was relatively low, and no discernible physical health effects are expected, psychological and social problems, largely stemming from the differences in risk perceptions, have had a devastating impact on people’s lives.”

Left unstated is the fact that these “differences in risk perception” are not due to any differences of opinion, or interpretation of fact, but rather the lying scare stories fabricated by anti-nuclear organizers and their cohorts in the media, who manufacture fantastic scenarios to terrorize populations any time someone sneezes in a nuclear power plant.

The article—one in a series of three studies in Lancet on nuclear power—also reports on a 2006 study by the United Nations on the worlwide effects of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident. Although in that case there were fatalities, these were largely among the workers who knowingly risked their lives to bring the situation at the plant under control. The “most serious public health issue,” the study found, was the adverse effects on the mental health of the population. “Poor communication” about the health risks of radiation, the report states, made the problem worse. Again, the “communication” through the media was the continuation of a decades-old campaign, begun by Bertrand Russell, to terrorize the population regarding anything nuclear.

In the case of Fukushima, where no adverse health effects have been found, the (unnecessary) evacuation of 170,000 residents within a 30-km radius of the plant, led to a threefold increase in deaths among elderly people in the first three months following their evacuation, the study found. Syndromes similar to post-traumatic stress, and long-term “distress,” were seen in evacuated residents.

The number of lives that have been lost since the 1980s due to the sabotage of expanding civilian nuclear power is counted in the millions.

Simple categorical descriptions or admonitions about the rapidly escalating danger of thermonuclear World War III, don’t mean much at this point, Lyndon LaRouche stated today. We need to develop concrete, specific handles to address the situation. We are dealing with a complex problem that cannot be handled with any linear approach. There is nothing simple or predictable in the current strategic process, and there is no model that can be set forth which is reliable. Any number of flashpoints could set off a global conflagration, and sometimes things happen even by oversight.

So if you are serious about stopping global thermonuclear war, LaRouche said, there is a high premium on thinking.

One important element is to keep key U.S. Congressional elements active, especially during the dangerous recess period of August, to provide a check and balance on President Obama’s insane war drive. One example—but only one—of Obama’s lunacy is the last week’s escalation by the administration into direct U.S. military involvement—unconstitutionally, with no prior authorization by Congress—in yet another war in the Middle East, this time in Syria. The witches’ brew created among Turkey, Syria, the United States, and other forces acting in the region is so explosive, it could only have been concocted in the kitchens of the British Arab Bureau, to manipulate everyone involved into spreading chaos and warfare.

Another example of Obama’s impeachable insanity is his announcement on Aug. 3 of his ultra-green climate change plan, which strictly follows the script handed to him by the British Empire’s genocidalists, grouped around that lifelong Nazi, Prince Philip. “Obama is acting like an idiot; he’s lost his marbles; he’s clinically insane,” Lyndon LaRouche commented. “These reports show that he is both scientifically incompetent and clinically insane, and he should just be gotten out of the White House immediately.”

Thursday, August 6 is a good day to make the beginning of the end of the British Empire and its drive for thermonuclear war, not only because it is the 70th anniversary of the use of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, but moreover because it celebrates the opening of the New Suez Canal. That great development project is exemplary of the kind of new world economic order which the BRICS and allies are bringing into existence, and which will help put the era of British imperial speculation and looting out of business… permanently.
