The administration’s flagship Washington Post felt compelled Friday morning to publish its lead editorial as an attack on the Glass-Steagall Act, and on candidate Bernie Sanders for calling for breaking up the Wall Street banks.

The editorial strongly supported Hillary Clinton for opposing Glass-Steagall, and dragged out a real potpourri of nonsensical “criticisms” such as “breaking up the banks is a step many experts warn may not be worth the costs.” And “nostalgia for an economy more based on manufacturing … provides an insufficient basis for remaking the world’s largest economy.” That was, in fact, a primary reason — the need for credit for production — advanced by Sen. Elizabeth Warren for reinstating Glass-Steagall, in an interview with American Prospect. The Post may have forgotten about the “Senate Manufacturing Caucus” formed by Hillary Clinton in 2004, which did absolutely nothing.

Fed Chair Janet Yellen came out against Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari’s call for breaking up the banks, in a forum in New York today. Together with former chairs Bernanke, Volcker, and Greenspan, Yellen said that although she encourages debate and discussion among the district Fed banks, there is no need to break up the Wall Street banks, since “we have made them safer and stronger.”

Indicating a sharp internal debate, the Federal Reserve board of governors has called a meeting “under expedited procedures” (i.e., an unscheduled and unusual emergency meeting) on interest rates for Monday, April 11, two days before its scheduled monthly meeting. Even more than the outbreak of “break up the banks,” the fight is likely over raising rates. New York Fed chief William Dudley gave a speech in Connecticut this morning saying the Fed should be very wary of raising again because of the difficulties of reversing and going down again. Said Dudley, “I still judge the balance of risks to my inflation and growth outlooks to be tilted slightly to the downside.”

At the same time, Yellen was sure to talk a lot about the “tendency for stronger growth” in the U.S. economy. This was complete lying, as every new report (today: consumer spending dropping in March, business inventories dropping in March, truck orders collapsing by 40%) makes clear that GDP growth was just about zero in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, all press are reporting that Jamie Dimon, in advance of JPMorgan Chase shareholders meeting, urged rejection of proposals to break up the bank by “selling all non-core banking business segments, such as investment banking and trading.” The proposals were advanced by Bartlett Naylor Public Citizen, which owns small amount of stock.

Jacques Cheminade, Lyndon LaRouche’s friend in France, on Monday, April 4th, declared his candidacy to the French presidency in 2017.

Signs of the troubled times France and the trans-Atlantic community are living, are leading some people to come to their senses. Cheminade, who had been demonized by the media during the two preceding campaigns, was invited this time by national TV channel France 2 to present his candidacy at 7:40 a.m., during an interview in one of the most widely viewed morning news programs, Tele-Matin. When Cheminade later in the day went to meet with the mayors he is soliciting for the Presidential presentations, 5 out of 6 of them had seen this interview already! All in all, the audience of this program is 1.3 million viewers per day.

The interview with host Guillaume Daret, and two different slugs presenting the candidacy written by France 2, as well as another news item by AFP, pretty much set the standard for ensuing coverage in more than 40 of the most important web pages of French media, among which are the main titles of the national press: Le Figaro, the Obs, Le Monde, the majority of the regional press as well: Ouest France, the largest-circulation paper of France; Le Progrès de Lyon, le Dauphiné Libéré, the Alsace-Lorraine media, and many others. Several African media from Togo, Benin, and Gabon also covered. Sputnik published a short item with a large picture of Cheminade coming out of the Elysee when François Hollande had invited him to discuss the rules of the Presidential elections. A whole bunch of commentaries followed the Sputnik item showing a broad sympathy for the candidate.

France TV did not shy away from presenting straightforwardly the scathing indictment Cheminade launched in his interview, against the French elites for collaboration with an international financial oligarchy that is dismantling France, in an obvious reference to other collaborations in the 1930’s and ’40’s.

While some media such as Liberation, national TV channel TF1, and a few others rehashed old slanders, the vast majority picked up, without innuendo, on Jacques’ call for France to free itself from this financial oligarchy.

The right-wing Le Figaro, generally pro-Russian, wrote a longer article saying that the founder of Solidarité & Progrès told France 2, that his ambition is to bring an end to the political seraglio, and to fight against what he called the oligarchy of the incapable, a reference to an excellent book by one Sophie Coignard, who proves very clearly this new form of collaborationism. Cheminade, a native of Buenos Aires, is favorable to pulling out of the Euro and the EU, favorable to a policy of conquest of Mars, reports Le Figaro.

This is the first time that Cheminade has received so much media coverage outside of an official electoral period.

Wednesday, Cheminade was at a center of a new buzz, when one of the leaders of Sarkozy’s Les Républicains, in charge of organizing that party’s primaries for the presidential election, made a strong intervention aimed at his own party, where no fewer than 12 candidates have declared themselves for the presidential primaries, something extremely unusual but a sign of the present crisis. Following his master Sarkozy, who has been working to hype rage within his party against Cheminade because of his small votes and his Mars exploration program, he stated, “The primary was not invented so that all the right-wing Cheminades be candidates for the presidential elections. The presidential campaign is a serious business, and the primary was invented in order to have only one candidate in the second round of the presidential elections!”

This, in turn, was one of the main news items throughout the afternoon!

Cheminade has not yet responded to this baseless event, being himself on tour in the northern city of Lille, where he was invited by a management school to give a presentation, and scheduled to give an important interview to the region’s TV station, Grandlille — which will be aired six times tomorrow — and a press conference!

All this coverage provoked more than 4,000 visits to the new Cheminade2017 website, where his program is presented.

Next week’s Democratic debate in New York is liable to be fun, because the genie of breaking up the banks and shutting down Wall Street has been let loose again, and that, within the Federal Reserve! Under the auspices of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank and its President Neel Kashkari, proposals to break up Wall Street have been put forward again. It has been noted that the Federal Reserve itself could break up the banks immediately—before they collapse again—by finding that their statements about their own assets and financial positions are not credible, lies, “a charade.”

Obama’s mouthpiece Hillary Clinton will be defending Wall Street’s inflation of its assets, as duplicitously as she can. And that anti-Wall Street magpie, Bernie Sanders, will be trying to remember how Franklin Roosevelt’s Glass-Steagall Act worked. Voters, out of years of accumulated anger, are making the issue hotter and hotter, and the contest closer and closer.

At the same time, with the so-called “Panama Papers,” a chaotic revelation has begun of how the big London, New York, Zuerich and Hong Kong banks really work—hiding hot money and drug money and tax-evading money in shell companies, laundering criminal money, drawing flight capital out of developing countries, breaking securities laws and hiding speculations from national authorities.

These banks themselves are bankrupt. The whole trans-Atlantic financial system is going down, sucking all growth out of the U.S., European, and Japanese economies and the life out of their people. The biggest banks need to be not just broken up, but the hundreds of their speculative units shut down entirely.

A fundamentally new system is needed, of productive credit, modern infrastructure-building, rapid scientific progress, deep space exploration, and nations acting for mutual benefit.

The offer to join and develop that new, “win-win” system is being made right now, by the nations of “the New Silk Road,” led by China, India, Russia.

These are, not by accident, the very countries the Obama Administration calls its biggest threats and adversaries, and seeks to provoke to war!

The Schiller Institute’s conference in Manhattan today, “Building a World Land-Bridge—Realizing Mankind’s True Humanity,” launches us toward that new system: The United States must join the New Silk Road. The mobilization for this conference, to restore Classical music and culture, to revive the U.S. space program shut down by Obama, has already changed the way Americans can see the future.

More than anger is required of citizens. Take this opportunity, because a new and worse financial crash, and a global war are threatened. The attention of the nation should be on the conference in Manhattan today.

The conference will begin live streaming live at 10 am EDT. You can find the full schedule here.

On April 5, The 3rd reading of the Arabic translation of the EIR Special Report The New Silk Road Becomes the World Land-Bridge took place in the capital of Yemen, Sanaa, defying the war of aggression launched by the Anglo-American-Saudi forces. The reading was organized by the Yemeni Advisory Office for Coordination with the BRICS, Al-Fouad Solutions, and the Yemen Center for Research and Studies. The roundtable was attended by more than 40 representatives of private organizations, businesses, and government agencies and the media, including Russian RT and Chinese CCTV.

Tuesday’s reading dealt with the 27 major Links and Corridors of the World Land-Bridge as presented in the EIR report. Huge posters of the back cover of the report, which shows these links and corridors, were hung in the meeting room. Representatives of the Ministry of Transport (Eng. Muhannad Al-Nabihi), Ministry of Public Works (Eng. Hasan Haidar), and General Agency for Aviation and Space Observations (Eng. Naji Al-Sahmi) took turns to read and explain these corridors and links in the world map. Fouad Al-Ghaffari, Founder of the Office of Coordination with the BRICS, and Faten Al-Usaimi (female), and Mohammed Al-Nunu coordinated and lead the discussion.

The main message in this reading, as reported by Al-Ghaffari, was that the New Silk Road project is sending a message through its links and corridors based on the idea of compressing the area needed to sustain one individual, and a message to put Yemen on this map of the New Silk Road.

“Yemen’s destiny is to become the cluster of pearls on this project, by turning it into a national project, as the New Suez Canal became a national mobilization project,” said Al-Ghaffari. He added that this will naturally make Yemen identify its true partners and its view of the BRICS philosophy in order to draw its sound and strong future.

While Yemeni intellectuals and officials in Sanaa are discussing the highest level of economic, strategic, and scientific ideas, all the while being pounded by American and British bombs hurled at them by the Saudis, other not-so-intellectual Yemenis are being hosted by the Saudis to draw up plans for dividing and destroying the country. Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, the self-proclaimed legitimate President-in-exile, announced on April 3rd from the Saudi capital, Al-Riyadh that he had fired his Advisor and former Prime Minister Khaled Bahhah, and appointed Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar in his place. Al-Ahmar is a former Army General and a top official of former dictator Ali Abdulah Saleh’s regime before the 2011 revolt, and a member of the powerful Al-Ahmar clan that is allied with Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Although Hadi declared that this decision is a preparation for the planned, UN-sponsored peace talks between all the fighting Yemeni factions, in Kuwait on April 18, many observers describe it as a Saudi-driven internal coup against the peace process, as Al-Ahmar is known for his absolute belief in resolving the Yemen crisis through military force backed by Saudi Arabia, some Gulf countries, and U.S.-British forces and mercenaries.

It is needless to mention that Al-Qaeda and ISIS have retaken almost all the areas they had lost to the combined forces of Ansarullah (Houthis) and Yemeni National Army in 2014-2015, before the Anglo-American-Saudi aggression relieved them, starting in March 2015. Most of the Southern provinces taken by the Saudi-allies, like Aden, Maarib, Abian, and Taiz, are now areas were Al-Qaeda and ISIS are very active, unlike areas that are controlled by Ansarrulah and National Army in Sanaa and north Yemen.

The tragedy in Yemen, is that the U.N. Security Council gave its blessing for this war of aggression (in the name of restoring democracy and the fugitive president Hadi) in the UNSC Resolution 2216 in April 14, 2015. All members of the UNSC, except Russia, voted for the resolution. The war has devastated whatever exists of infrastructure in the country, which is considered the poorest Arab country. According to the UN, 6500 were killed, 93% of whom were civilians, in the direct bombardment and fighting. Obviously many more were killed due to lack of food, water, and medicine, but these are not really accounted for in statistics. Millions (out of the 30 million population) are directly threatened by famine and epidemics, and many millions are already considered as refugees (internally displaced), but cannot escape the country, which is blockaded by international efforts on the land, in the sea and the air, in accordance with the UNSC resolution itself.

EIR‘s Hussein Askary posted the following statement (in Arabic and English) on his Facebook page, commenting on the picture of a young Yemeni boy standing in his home’s living room in Sanaa (shown above), which was decorated by a huge map of the World Land-Bridge from the EIR Special Report.

“The people of Yemen are not only resisting the war of aggression imposed on them by the dying Anglo-American old world order through fighting back, but also by orienting their mindset towards the future through studying the ideas that lay the foundations for the new world order. This shows the greatness of the Yemeni historic character. How often do we hear from Arabs, Africans, and even Europeans and Americans who tell us that our (Schiller Institute and LaRouche Movement) ideas are great, but the time for them has not come because there are so many political problems out there; or that they cannot support our ideas and work, because they are busy with their daily problems. How about having an American F-18 or British Tornado hovering above your home attempting to kill you and your family for a “daily problem” to deal with!  A friend of ours in Sana’a, Yemen, today was so excited by our vision of the World Land-Bridge in the 4th reading of the Arabic translation of the special report “The New Silk Road Becomes the World Land-Bridge” organized by Fouad Al-Ghaffari, that he took home the poster and hung it at his living room!

Americans, Europeans, Arabs and Africans who claim they are too busy to deal with “big” and advanced ideas should be ashamed of themselves, and learn something from the people in Yemen! There is no excuse for intellectual laziness and cowardice!

With the resignation of Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson Tuesday, the government of Iceland became the first to fall, in the wake of the orchestrated media frenzy over the so-called “Panama Papers” dumped upon the world. Their release was timely: just six weeks before an international “Anti-Corruption Summit” in London, called for by the British government for May 12, with the stated intent of creating a strengthened supranational “anti-corruption architecture” through which to overthrow designated governments of choice.

Rather shameless for an empire functioning for centuries upon the Venetian principle of “Private Vices, Public Good”!

Her Majesty’s Prime Minister David Cameron first announced the anti-corruption summit on July 28, 2015, in a speech delivered at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. Cameron baldly declared that corruption of other governments creates migration and terrorism; that many refugees are fleeing “from corrupt African states where they have no economic prospects because everything is controlled by a corrupt elite,” and Boko Haram, ISIL, Al-Qaeda, et al. demonstrate “how an oppressive and corrupt government can drive its people into the hands of the extremists in the first place.”

Cameron cited Oxford University’s infamous British colonialist (and former senior advisor to Tony Blair’s Commission on Africa), Paul Collier, in proposing that this May’s anti-corruption summit bring about “a fundamental change to the way the international community fights poverty,” by using “international aid” to enforce “better governance.”

Transparency International — created in 1993 under the direct instigation of Prince Philip — has been fleshing out the agenda for Cameron’s summit. On Jan. 27, 2016, the UK branch of Transparency published their proposals for the summit, which they envision as “a coalition of the willing.” Anti-corruption summits fail, because “serially corrupt” governments are allowed to participate, TI wrote, the only two countries mentioned by name in their proposal being China and Saudi Arabia. “Serial blockers—countries that use spurious excuses to stop any progress,” must be excluded, and if diplomatic protocol requires they be invited, “it is vital that the blockers are not allowed to dictate the terms of the debate.”

This rump caucus in London is then to agree upon such measures as adopting “a visa denial-of-entry regime for suspects of corruption;” “a corporate debarment regime between like-minded governments with the power to enforce it;” and “providing legal support for those living abroad to challenge the corruption taking place at home.”

The key to success, however, is the use of the press and “civil society” to mobilize the victims of Bertrand Russell’s cult of stupidity into Jacobin mobs which can bring down governments. In the words of TI: “Civil society and a free press are two of the (few) mechanisms that can promote transparency and accountability, particularly in countries that are not democracies.”

Ergo: “the Panama papers”

On April 3, the “Panama Papers” operation was unleashed, focussed immediately to slander President Vladimir Putin, and President Xi Jinping, as well as a variety of other hits, slanderous or less so. Some background was provided April 3 by Fortune.com (it takes one, to know one), and other media, including the following features.

Some time in 2015, an anonymous source contacted the Suddeutsche Zeitung (SZ), and provided it with 40 years worth of data on European and other accounts, from the Panama-based law firm, Mossack Fonseca, which specializes in hiding money in offshore shells. This firm is said to rank fourth in the money-hiding world, with hundreds of prominent clients. SZ reports it received 11.5 million documents, going back to the 1970s.

The story is that SZ then enlisted a unit of the George Soros-funded Center for Public Integrity, in Washington, D.C., to take up the analysis—the ICIJ (International Consortium of Investigative Journalists). This Soros-funded group then put together a network of some 400 reporters in 80 countries to research the data. On April 3, the stories started coming out, of dozens of figures claimed to be, or suggested to be involved in off-shore money stashing schemes.

The April 3 Guardian article by Luke Harding, “Revealed: “The $2 bil Offshore Trail That Leads to Vladimir Putin,” is a doozy for innuendo on Putin, whose name appears nowhere in the Panama Papers. Harding writes, “The documents suggest Putin’s family has benefited from this money—his friends’ fortunes appear his to spend.” One of Putin’s friends is a ‘cellist, called “wealthy,” who maybe once upon a time, received payment from a firm which had off-shore holdings, etc.

For the first time in three years, a U.S. Congressional delegation has sought to re-establish an international dialogue with Russia, with a visit by a five-member, bi-partisan group, to the Russian Valdai Discussion Club on Sunday, April 3. Led by California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, the group included fellow Republican French Hill (AR) along with Democrats David Cicilline (RI), Brian Higgins (NY), and Juan Vargas (CA). Rohrabacher is—along with Higgins and Cicilline — a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and chairman of their Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia and Emerging Threats. His number one concern: stopping the spread of ISIS.

In stark contrast to the neocon media (as well as his Democratic counterparts’) portrayal of Russia as a neo-imperial force threatening Europe, Rohrabacher — who characterized these reports as “bizarre and out of touch” — talked down the Obama-boosted, billion-dollar European Reassurance Initiative, saying that, “There is no threat that I can see of a major military incursion by Russia into Europe. A much greater threat to Europe now is radical Islamic terrorism, and in that battle we should be working with Russia rather than try to base our policies on thwarting Russia,” according to a prominent posting on the Valdai website. He told his Russian hosts, “Our fight against the radical Islamic terrorism is not even halfway over, and it’s going to become more dangerous in the years ahead,” adding that, “If there is anything that can help us, that will further our efforts to defeat radical Islamic terrorism … then it will be the cooperation between our countries.”

Concluding his presentation, Rohrabacher strongly defended the Russian state, saying, “We’ve got to get the word out that Russia is a strong modern nation. When the president of Russia moves forward to do something in the interests of his country, it should be seen as the president of this country watching out for the interests of his people.” Then, in words that could only endear himself to Putin, he took an implicit swing at Obama, adding, “I wish we had a president that was watching out as much for our interests as Russia has a president watching out for theirs.”

Valdai, a mountain retreat half-way between Moscow and St. Petersberg, was founded in 2004 by the Russian International Affairs Council, a joint project of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education and Science, with the stated goal of “promot[ing] dialogue between Russian and international intellectual elite.”

Interviewed March 31 by the American Prospect, Sen. Elizabeth Warren restated the current necessity for Glass-Steagall re-enactment; the interview was the first time she has linked this necessity to the lack of productive credit in the U.S. economy.

Asked by interviewer Robert Kuttner about the Wall Street banks’ practice of using Federal Reserve QE reserves and borrowings to speculate with U.S. Treasury securities, avoiding the economy, Warren said that small and medium-sized companies continue to be unable to get credit for production, due to the constantly increasing dominance of credit markets by the biggest Wall Street banks. She described Wall Street lending to corporate giants [who use the loans to build up the stock market—ed.] and to consumers, but not to the vast majority of companies.

“Over the long run, that shift in lending will have a devastating effect on our economy,” Warren said. “And that’s exactly why we need a new Glass-Steagall Act to break up the biggest banks.” She described them gobbling up the community banks which would lend to business, while on the speculative markets, using their huge FDIC-insured deposit bases as an advantage over the shadow banks.

Warren said that her Glass-Steagall bill with Senators McCain, Cantwell, and King closed the holes that “regulators” [i.e., Alan Greenspan] had punched in the Act before its 1999 repeal, and walled off derivatives from commercial banking, which the original Glass-Steagall had not specifically had to do.

She also disagreed that there is less systemic risk in Wall Street than in 2007, noting particularly that “if one fails, then several of them are headed over the cliff together.” Dodd-Frank should not have left the giant banks as they were, she implied, and doing so allowed them to maintain the political power to repeal derivatives regulations of Dodd-Frank, etc.

American Prospect‘s accompanying article was full of speculations about Senator Warren’s impact in pushing Hillary Clinton to the left, and whether Clinton — who they assume will be the nominee — will appoint an economic team of Wall Street bankers as Obama did.

Monday morning long-time collaborator of Lyndon LaRouche, Jacques Cheminade, announced his candidacy to become French President in 2017, during a ten-minute interview with Guillaume Daret on “The Four Truths” program on France 2 national TV network. Aired at 7:40, on prime time, the approximate audience was 1.3 million viewers.

The following is the short article published by France 2, along with the video of the interview: Four Truths—Jacques Cheminade: “My Ideas Scare the French Political Caste.”

“For 40 years, in France, there has been a policy of financial dismantling of the country; it is not a policy of growth; it is a policy of submission to international financial control — and thus we have now social austerity — it is a policy where the political seraglio make their pacts with the empire of money. Today, 81% of Frenchmen do not find this reassuring, and 71% think that French society is unjust. … We are under financial occupation against which we must fight in order to free ourselves.”

Commenting on his results in the previous presidential elections (0.28% in 1995 and 0.25% in 2012), Jaques Cheminade said that “he was treated to be eliminated.”

“My ideas frightened them, not me: the idea that one can question the French political caste’s collaboration, the oligarchy of the incapable, with the international monetary and financial system.”

Having obtained a degree from HEC Paris (Higher Commercial Studies), from the ENA (National School of Administration), and formerly employed as a commercial attaché at the French Mission in New York, he doesn’t expect he will have difficulty collecting at least 500 sponsorships by elected officials to validate his Presidential candidacy.

“The French will realize this time that the ‘vote utile‘* will be to vote for me” in 2017, he assured. “They thought they had given a `vote utile‘ to François Hollande, who did not rise at all to the promises he had made.”

Jacques Cheminade defines himself as “left Gaullist,” and his references are “Jaurès, de Gaulle, and Mendès-France.” He is for getting out of the euro, on condition that the aim is not a withdrawal to isolationism;” “for France to pull out of the European Union,” “against the legalization of soft drugs, but against punishing the users.”

Immediately the news spread throughout the press and was covered by Le Figaro, Le Monde, Obs, Huffington Post, Le Parisien, L’Express, Togo News and many other outlets on the internet.  Generally the coverage is more respectful, and the attack on the French political caste’s collaboration with an international financial enemy, is covered in most articles. But the media outlets try to emphasize the “small” results of previous campaigns, but do mention Cheminade’s support for space exploration.

Cheminade declared his candidacy at a moment when France is going into a full-fledged financial, economic, and social crisis: President François Hollande is thoroughly discredited and is likely not to run for a second term. Holland had to drop his hair-raising project to “withdraw nationality from those who would commit terrorist acts” — a scheme to get all the right and even extreme right wing on board with him, which would have led to the creation of stateless individuals. The bill was finally killed in the Senate. Demonstrations on March 31st brought hundreds of thousands of trade unionists and average people into the streets to get the government to drop a proposed labor bill, which would allow “uberization” of most professions and increase unemployment, already at a whopping 8 million! Cheminade’s declaration of his candidacy comes at a moment when finally more and more groups are opposing the government’s proposed bill to reform the regulations for the Presidential elections, replacing equal media coverage with proportional coverage, plus other measures to make it more difficult for those outside the existing discredited political class to run for President. Solidarité & Progrès spearheaded the campaign against this bill, which has now been denounced by not only the small parties, but also by most of the major newspapers and magazines.

Jacques Cheminade’s full program can be found on his new website.

*The vote utile means to vote pragmatically for a candidate the voter thinks might win, rather than one whose ideas are most honest, but whom the voter thinks the system won’t allow to win.

Monday started 12 days of joint military drills between the United States and the Philippines, called Operation Shoulder-to-Shoulder (Balikatan, a yearly joint exercise since the 1980s), involving some 8,000 troops, including Australians, conducted this year as a provocation operation against China. There are contingencies for forays into the South China Sea. Yesterday, Japanese naval vessels—two ships and a submarine, docked in Subic Bay, the former US naval base being returned once again to the US military. This is the first such port call for a Japanese submarine in 15 years. For the first time ever, the U.S. Defense Secretary will come in person to review the Balikatan exercises. Ash Carter is to arrive next week. Farther north, joint U.S. and South Korean military exercises continue until later in the month.

The danger of these force deployments is evident, but the desperation of the London-White House axis is blatantly clear in the new round of wild smears conducted against Presidents Putin and Xi, spun out of the “Panama Papers”—a contrived 2015 dump of data from the Panama-based law firm, Mossack Fonseca, specializing in off-shore money-hiding. Over the weekend, new “results” of so-called studies of this “anonymously” hacked data by the ICIJ (International Consortium of Investigative Journalists—a Soros-funded media hit-squad), are now cited to show that “circles,” “friends,” “associates” and the like of Putin and Xi, are shady rich types. Putin and Xi are being given a new round of enemy image treatment. This week’s London Economist cover is titled, “Beware the Cult of Xi.”

There is no mention of Putin himself at all in the 11 million Panama Papers data items, but, the lying spin is shown by yesterday’s London Guardian headline, “Revealed: The $2 bn Offshore Trail That Leads to Vladimir Putin.” Tonight, the BBC is running a new feature, “Tax Havens of the Rich and Powerful Exposed,” based on the Panama papers, which also slanders Putin by innuendo.

Not to stop there, two “anti-corruption” summits are scheduled for the Spring, with collusion by the White House and UK governments. In May, David Cameron will host a 2016 London Anti-Corruption Summit. Next week in Washington, D.C. will be a “Preview” event of the London Summit, on April 13, at the Wilson Center, with participation from the UK International Development Department, and from the Obama National Security Council.

Step back, and the real corruption ravaging the world is clear: the continuation of the dead Wall Street-London system, and the war-provocation that goes with it. This was seen most dreadfully in Day One today, of the new EU-Turkey human swap deal to shunt refugees from Greece into Turkey, and back-haul others from Turkey into the EU. By tonight, the first 500 persons are to have arrived in Turkey from Greece.

To the average, “practical” person, these are all individual “issues”—the migrant question, the China and Russia questions, corruption question, and so on. But to human beings, the big picture is clear. The system is dead, we must break with it. Get Obama out, and humanity has a future. As Lyndon LaRouche put it today, on the weekly LPAC TV discussion, “Save people from the cult of practicality!”

This Thursday we’ll be making history in New York, tune in.
