The relationship between state and motorist lies somewhere on the scale between ‘to protect and serve’ and ‘command and control.’ It depends greatly on how the fuel tax, tolls, and other user fees are collected, how fines are levied, and the degree to which that revenue is used to maintain and improve public roadways as opposed to being diverted for use on unrelated projects. Because states view drivers’ rights with varying degrees of indifference, we decided to quantify what distinguishes each of the states in their treatment of motorists. A famous Malaysian Chinese astrology master who has previously correctly predicted many accurate events has released his predictions for the world in the Year of the Wood Goat. Master Thean Y Nang, a Buddhist Feng Shui master and Chinese astrologer based in Malaysia, has predicted that the coming year, which starts on 19 February 2015 following the Chinese lunar calendar, will overall be much more favourable than the outgoing Year of the Wood Horse (2014). Thean previously correctly predicted the 9/11 attacks and the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, and most recently foresaw incredibly bad luck for Malaysia in 2014, long before any … Continue reading

The heart of revisionist history is this: the textbook version of the story is wrong. It may be wrong for simply technical reasons. Maybe certain documents have been suppressed, or lost, or ignored. Maybe the event is far more complex than the textbooks indicate. But in some matters, especially those regarding banking, war, and government spending, the textbook story has been deliberately written by court historians. The court historians have deliberately suppressed information, because the information points to the conspiratorial origins of the event. It is crucial for establishment historians to be able to dismiss such investigations as conspiracy history, … Continue reading

Yes, indeed. They bought the dip again, nudging the S&P 500 to another “record close”. This time the magic number was 2097 and its represented a tiny gain of 0.3% from the last record close, which was 2090 on December 29th. Needless to say, there were a lot of thrills and spills in between. As shown below, the broad market index has been staggering upward like a drunken sailor for the last three months. Just about 90 days ago on November 17, in fact, the S&P 500 hit a then record high of 2073 before plunging on five separate occasions by … Continue reading

As I wrote last September, I have a fairly decent first aid kit.  It includes everything from a large variety of bandages to pain killers, antibiotics, essential oils, trauma supplies, first aid books, and equipment such as braces, splints and a blood pressure monitor. Since then, however, Ebola and now measles have become a threat and it is only a matter of time where my first aid kit will be called into play to protect my household from contamination from sickness, or worse, a pandemic. As I try to cover all contingencies, I have come up with six additional items … Continue reading

“Are you ready for total war?” “Sind Sie bereit für totalen Krieg?” – Joseph Goebbels On February 18, 1943, German Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels delivered a rousing speech at the Berlin Sportpalast, asking the German people, “Sind Sie bereit für totalen Krieg?” or “Are you ready for total War?” Germany had planned for Blitzkrieg and a short war and was unprepared for a world war as the combined military forces of the United States, England and the Soviet Union crushed the Reich relentlessly and systematically. Although the people and economy rallied in defense of Germany, total war only prolonged the … Continue reading

Bosch LLC, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of the German Bosch automotive products company, has recently petitioned the FCC to take specific amateur radio frequencies to be given to Bosch to develop radar systems for self-driving cars.  The proposal, which initially calls for a “sharing” of the frequencies, also encourages the movement of the ham radio usage in that band to other areas of the radio frequency spectrum.   Usually, when two competing radio systems officially “share” radio frequencies, one of the services is designated as the primary and the other as the secondary user.   The secondary user may not cause … Continue reading
