‘Just days after the U.N. released its “Report of the Independent Commission of Inquiry on the 2014 Gaza Conflict,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—during a closed meeting of Israeli officials— remarked that “Israel is considering whether or not to stay in the Human Rights Council in light of the recent UN Gaza report.” Flight or […]

‘Newly revealed documents from the 1990s Bosnia war and the carnage of Muslims there by Serbian death squads show that the US, Britain and France were behind the worst massacre in Europe since World War II. A new investigation on how the massacre of over 8,000 Muslim Bosnian boys and men came about shows that […]

[Leon Trotsky • By Irving Howe • Viking Press, 1978 &bull 214 pages. This review originally appeared in Libertarian Review, March 1979.] Leon Trotsky has always had a certain appeal for intellectuals that the other Bolshevik leaders lacked. The reasons for this are clear enough. He was a writer, an occasional literary critic — according to Irving Howe, a very good one — and an historian (of the revolutions of 1905 and 1917). He had an interest in psychoanalysis and modern developments in physics, and, even when in power, suggested that the new Communist thought-controllers shouldn’t be too harsh on … Continue reading

In my previous post on the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s gay marriage decision, I noted that U.S. Progressives are taking their victory laps, and I suspect that before they are done, those laps are going to morph into a marathon. By a 5-4 vote, SCOTUS forever changed the political and religious landscape in a way that ironically breaks down the wall of separation between church and state.  That’s right. For all of their endorsement of the principle that church and state must be separate, American Progressives have made the state the final arbiter of the purity of Christian doctrine, … Continue reading

“This is not a secret,” explains Kris Roman, director of geopolitical research center Euro-Rus, “The whole [US] economy is built on the military theme: to maintain its economic growth, the United States needs a war every 4 years, otherwise the economic growth slows down.” The Belgian expert believes that with the collapse of the USSR, NATO should have stopped existing, but somehow the alliance “has grown to the size of the Universe because the motto ‘The Russians are coming!’ is relevant again.” In the 25 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO has not forgotten even for a … Continue reading

…if they do, and damned if they don’t. Please note: the glee that I obviously cannot hide in this post is due to my pleasure of watching the EU bureaucracy flail; for the Greek people – who have opened themselves up to a who-knows-what tomorrow – I pray for the best.  Whatever opinion one has of the Greek people, the truth is that this entire mess was caused by their politicians and by the bailing-out of European banks.  The Greeks overwhelmingly vote no; now the drama really begins.  Ambrose Evans-Pritchard spells it out rather plainly: The shock result effectively calls … Continue reading

What if you build it – and they don’t come? Send the bill to the taxpayers! Twice. This is how you make money in the New America. Well, the green America. Don’t earn it. Steal it. The “business model” is simple enough: Glom on to a politically high-fashion issue – electric cars, for instance. Then obtain government (meaning, taxpayer) “help” to fund their design and manufacture. When no one – or not enough – people buy your electric wunderwagen, simple declare bankruptcy and walk away. With your pockets full of other people’s money. Then, when the smoke clears, do it again. … Continue reading

Food additives are things added to food during processing, typically to enhance color or freshness. While some of them are natural, many aren’t—and all those unnatural additives can cause nasty side effects. Think about the artificial sweeteners hiding in diet soft drinks, or the emulsifiers (used to keep food from separating) in the salad dressing sitting in your refrigerator. Just these two things alone could easily destroy gut health.[1] [2] [3] But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to unnatural additives. Also, when you realize that most of them aren’t even tested for safety at all…well, … Continue reading

Marc Faber of the Gloom, Boom Doom Report discusses his concerns about the markets. He tries to educate a truly clueless financial reporter about why you must hold your gold outside the US. Reprinted from MarcFaberNews.com.

Guest author Kenneth Anton: author of Popsicle Man and Cancer Vortex It is stated by the government that “Jade Helm” is just a ‘Military Training Exercise’ taking place in 7 southwest states (possibly more) for just 2 months from 7/15/15 to 9/15/15. But many skeptics, including myself, see this incursion by the military into domestic affairs as a prelude to martial law across the whole United States. Why should we listen to the skeptics? Based on recent past experience the Ruling Elite have committed major false flag operations while training exercises were conducted at the same time as cover. So … Continue reading

Back in the good old days of 2,500 years ago, the Greeks blamed the gods for their self-induced disasters. In modern times the Brits were to blame, and then the Americans. Now it’s the Germans. We brag about inventing democracy – however selective – and also about inventing tragedy, but don’t dwell at all on another word we invented: demagoguery. Demagoguery is what brought Alexis Tsipras and his motley crew of corner-café pseudo-philosophers to power, and demagoguery continues to dominate Greek political discussions even today as we vote for or against the euro. But let’s not forget comedy, yet another … Continue reading

Gary Hart was a good senator, an independent person.  Consequently, he was eliminated with a sexual scandal.  The woman was a ten, and the powers that be got rid of Hart. Better to go that way than with an airplane crash or a frame-up that leads to prison like happened to US Rep. George Hanson and others including Dan Rostenkowski, Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means. Rostenkowski was eliminated by the despicable Eric Holder, a US attorney at the time who rose to become Obama’s Attorney General, proving the point that in the US government only the … Continue reading

I have received several comments to my post Libertarians and Culture.  I have decided to address selected comments via this post. Robert Wenzel was gracious enough to publish my post at Target Liberty.  I will begin by addressing one of the comments from Wenzel’s site, regarding this paragraph of the original post: Every thriving – even surviving – society requires governance; not government as the term is currently understood, but governance.  The lowest level, closest to most voluntary, most decentralized level of societal governance, is the family. Destroy the moral foundations of family and you destroy society.  Of this there is … Continue reading

Politicians react to terrorism much as parents might respond when their lisping tiny offspring come home from sex-ed classes and ask them to explain what lesbians do. They panic. They have no idea what to say and they are terrified of committing themselves, rightly suspecting that their answers will be stored up and embarrassingly remembered years later. But they have to pretend to know. And so they talk drivel. I have watched this for years, with growing, grim amusement. But last week they outdid themselves, churning out gallons of swirling hogwash. The most ridiculous of all was (as usual) the … Continue reading

Global central banks are afraid. Before Greece tried to stand up to the Troika, they were merely worried. Now it’s clear that no matter what they tell themselves and the world about the necessity or even righteousness of their monetary policies, liquidity can still disappear in an instant. Or at least, that’s what they should be thinking. The Federal Reserve and US government led policy of injecting liquidity into the US and then into the worldwide financial system has resulted in the issuance of trillions of dollars of debt, recycling it through the largest private banks, and driving rates to … Continue reading
