‘Grab Your Granny For Europe’ Campaign launched by Tory Government

‘Young Brits will be encouraged to “grab your granny” and persuade them to vote to stay in the European Union in the U.K.’s referendum on June 23.

Modeled on a similar campaign during Ireland’s gay marriage vote last year, the Times reports that education minister Sam Gyimah is one of the ministers backing the strategy in which young, pro-EU voters are asked to warn elderly relatives about the risks Brexit would bring.

“We want to get people to ring their parents and grandparents and say, ‘I’m going to vote to stay in and I think you should too’”, a source from the Britain Stronger In Europe campaign told the Times.’
