Reawakening the Moral Fitness To Survive

The multiple strategic crises before us, each and all created by the onslaught of the systemic breakdown of the entire trans-Atlantic system now underway, should remind us of Lyndon LaRouche’s frequent warning about “the catastrophic persistence of oligarchical forms of society… which, although more or less long-dominant, are best characterized as cultures ultimately self-doomed by their inherent lack of sufficient ‘moral fitness to survive.’ ”

We see that systemic breakdown expressed today in:

• the escalating danger of war between the United States and China, and also Russia;

• the rise of a violent “color revolution” on the streets of America, targeting President Trump for a coup d’état;

• the “perfect storm” of an economic implosion bearing down on, especially, the one-quarter of the U.S. labor force which is de facto unemployed;

• the growing danger of hunger and even famine among African and other populations; and

• in the still-uncontrolled spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, which threatens to become a far worse nightmare as we approach the fall influenza season in the Northern Hemisphere.

Each and every one of these crises is the result of the 50-year death rattle of a bankrupt system, which Lyndon LaRouche long warned would be our fate if we did not change our fundamental policies. And behind each and every one is the intentional, Malthusian policy of the British Empire, and their associates in Wall Street and Washington.

Take the case of the increasingly shrill drive for war against China, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo leading the way, and now with neo-con nutcases both inside and outside the Trump Administration, and also in Congress, meeting in Washington to blame China for the armed violence on the streets of the United States, and to second Steve Bannon’s dangerous personal threat against Chinese President Xi Jinping, who Bannon said is in the U.S.’s “gun sights.”

Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche yesterday issued a stark warning:

“The confrontation against China is reaching a pre-war, enemy-image mode. This is extremely dangerous, and we have to organize politicians around the world that they really must come out and denounce this. Because this is the kind of course which can only lead to a complete catastrophe. It will not help Trump’s reelection—as a matter of fact, it’s the one thing which will guarantee that the whole thing will end up as a tragedy. So this is not to be pushed aside, not to be blended out for whatever reasons, because this is the kind of talk you don’t have unless you are planning to go for an actual war….

“This is really blood-curdling—I can’t even find the right words to characterize this. This is like blaming the Jews for everything; it’s exactly what the Nazis did before the Holocaust. I really think this is going too far: It is time to take a moral stand that this is not true. It is clearly designed to cause a war, because there is no way, as I’ve said many times, that you can ‘contain’ a country of 1.4 billion people unless you want to go for war.”

Zepp-LaRouche emphasized the organizing approach that she and her associates in the LaRouche movement are taking to address this existential crisis.

“These are challenging times and one can expect that it will get even more bumpy in the period ahead. But we should absolutely proceed with the intention that we insert Lyndon LaRouche’s programmatic ideas into the discussion, which we have been doing quite successfully with the series of Schiller Institute conferences over recent months. We will have another Schiller Institute conference on Aug. 15 for Spanish-speaking audiences. Then on Aug. 22 we will have another international youth event, focused on the need to exonerate Lyndon LaRouche. And then we plan to hold another major international Schiller Institute conference in early September, with the idea of again focusing on the urgent need for a summit of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, to address all of these crises.

“And I can only reiterate that, for the reasons that we discussed last Saturday [July 25] at the public event with William Binney and others, it is absolutely crucial that we involve in every organizing activity the question of Lyndon LaRouche’s exoneration. That is the centerpiece to the Mueller apparatus used against Lyndon LaRouche in the 1980s and 1990s; to the cover-up of 9/11; to the coup against Trump; and it is very clear that it is that same apparatus which is now behind the war danger. So it is crucial that we get people to really understand the full dimension of the crisis, and the urgent need to exonerate Lyndon LaRouche. That is the key to reawakening the moral fitness to survive.”
